"I recently had my shingle roof replaced and I?m very happy with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and completed the job efficiently. The quality of the work is excellent, and the new roof looks great. They kept the work area clean and communicated well throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement."

"I have now had 4 pickups from this company. Each time it has been with different items: I have had my kitchen remodeled,  a deck torn down and rebuilt, a new roof put on, old fencing disc arded, and a yard cleanup. The only difference in pricing was for the roofing and even though ti was more money it was STILL CHEAPER than a dumpster!!! I don't know how these guys do it, but they pickup on time, without issue andfor the cost quoted. I have turned each of my contractors onto them - now they are using them. SO MUCH cheaper and better service than any dumpster company I have used!"

"Once again, Ranieri Construction has gone above and beyond our expectations! We needed to have our inground pool patched and painted, and may I say Andrew (and Lou) did an outstanding job. My husband usually spends time (and $) at the beginning of the season making sure the water stays clean and clear. But patching up all the spots, and then painting the entire pool ensured the pool was so much easier to clean and keep clear on day 1. The improvements also made it easier to maintain the water balance and keep clean. Please consider these folks- they are prompt, detail oriented and very efficient. Feel free to get in touch with us if you want to hear more"

"Andrew Wells has been a gift from God for my dire situation. I have an extremely old house which needs extensive repairs, and through Home Advisor's recommendation I hired Andrew Wells to repair numerous holes in the soffit to prevent bats and squirrels from entering my attic. So far, he has done an incredible job! I am so impressed by his honesty and devotion and reasonable prices that I intend to hire him for future repairs/work. He truly is a blessing to the field of contracting and I am most grateful that I found him through Home Advisor. Thank you!!!"

"The works seems very professionally done.   However, it took six weeks for them to begin work after we paid the initial deposit.  Also, they initially refused to clean up the enormous mess left in the attic saying it "wasn't in the contract."  The contract specifically included "removal of debris" from the site but they later said this did not include cleaning up the debris left in the attic.   To their credit, they agreed to come back and clean the attic, not because they acknowledged it was included in the contract, but because they didn't specifically tell us that attic clean up wasn't included (in their interpretation of the contract).  Supplies were left sitting in our driveway for two weeks after the job was finished.  The actual workers worked hard and were very polite.  Midway through the job, they started to leave the site at the end of the day leaving parts of the attic exposed and uncovered.  When we expressed concern about leaving that area open to the elements and bugs overnight, they returned to the roof and completed the open areas before leaving for the day.  Overall, we were satisfied with the work and the final product.

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Composite decking is the best material for individuals living with disabilities who want to age in place. The material is anti-slip, which increases safety throughout the year. It’s also highly durable and requires minimal maintenance, so it doesn’t add another item to the individual’s to-do list. It’s also a good option for improving wheelchair accessibility at home, as it can easily manage a wheelchair ramp.

You can build an outdoor kitchen on a deck, but you should choose composite decking since it's more heat-resistant. Metal deck materials like steel and aluminum are also good choices because they're less flammable than wood. You should also consider the weight of the kitchen—make sure your deck can support it and any appliances you plan to use. You should consult a structural engineer to confirm exactly how much weight your deck can safely support when building an outdoor kitchen.

It’s best to use two screws to secure deck boards into every joist. Securing the boards to every joist makes the deck more structurally sound, while using two screws on the outer sides of the boards can help prevent warping and cupping.

Typically, most residential wooden decks are designed to support approximately 40 pounds per square foot, including the deck’s weight and any items placed on it. While this is fine for typical use, it is usually not enough to hold the weight of a hot tub filled with water and people. To safely support a hot tub, your wood deck will likely require reinforcement. Therefore, it’s best to have a contractor or a structural engineer assess it before hot tub installation.

Decks are generally more expensive to build because they require elevating and railings. The difference between decks and patios is that decks are elevated, while patios are usually on the ground level. Plus, decks are usually made of wood and need more maintenance than most patios. However, decks and patios serve the same purpose, providing outdoor space for you to enjoy.
