Hello, my name is Pat Nadeau. I am the owner and operator of Superior Pools. We have been in business since 2010. Me and my crew have been building above ground pools since 1999. We have built and serviced all models of pools. There is not much we have not seen. We are capable and equipped to handle any situation. We are fully licensed and insured in Ma and Ct. So we can help with the permit process and get you swimming ASAP. We are a one stop shop. We can assist in obtaining the pool of your dreams. Excavation installation and filling. We also landscape around the pool patios and retaining walls. Not sure how to open and or close the pool for the year no need to worry we can help. Lastly we are a family run business that is here to help set up your own backyard oasis and start making memories for years to come.

"We called Ranieri Construction because a combination of ground settling and a sloppy repair made our concrete pool deck not only cracked and uneven, but also unsightly. Lou Ranieri explained that they couldn’t fix the cracks as they were, but would have to remove the filler from the first repair, grind down the uneven surfaces and stain the whole surface to achieve an even color. Once the plan was in motion, Andrew Ranieri worked tirelessly to grind down and level all the surfaces – this man is a definite perfectionist and the even surface is better than we ever thought was possible. A skim coat was applied and, once hardened, the whole area was cleaned and stained. It’s beautiful! We can’t say enough about how diligent Lou and Andrew are in their, often backbreaking, work. Once completed, the work area was left spotlessly clean. This is the type of company all should strive to be – a company where work ethic, integrity and the correct way of solving a problem are paramount. Thank you, Ranieri Construction! You're the best!"

"From the initial contact for a quote to the installation there was nothing but fantastic customer service. Install was completed on the date stated in the contract. Everyone working for this company was very respectful of my property. All trash was removed and fence was replaced as it was before they arrived. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pool."

Install Above Ground Pools questions, answered by experts

The life expectancy of a gunite pool is about 100 years or more with proper care. Clean your pool at least once a week and plan to resurface it every five to seven years. For winter, close down the gunite pool but don’t drain it. And you can increase your gunite pool’s longevity by repairing any damage and addressing any issues as soon as you notice them.

Calcium lumps in a pool are calcium deposits that form when a pool's water parameters are not in the normal range. They can float around on the surface of the pool water, making it look and feel dirty. The most common causes of calcium lumps in pools are calcium hardness above 1,000 ppm, alkalinity over 120, and a pH over 7.8. Keeping your pool’s calcium levels, alkalinity, and pH levels within the normal, safe ranges is the best way to prevent calcium lumps and other problems, including damage to the pool surface.

The number of gallons in your pool will determine how much chlorine you’ll need to add to your pool for the first time. Chlorine levels should fall between 1 and 3 ppm. It's crucial to read the instructions on your chlorine packet to determine the number of tablets to put in the water based on your pool's capacity.

Don’t worry if your pool is still cloudy right after shocking it. Some shocking products will leave your pool cloudy for a day or so after using them. However, if your pool is still cloudy several days after shocking it, it could be due to poor filtration, low chlorine, or one of the other problems outlined above. If you’ve tried our fixes but still can’t clear the cloudiness, call a pool repair professional.

Technically, you can fill in a pool yourself—with the caveat that filling in a pool requires the ability to drain the pool properly and move a substantial amount of dirt, which aren’t beginner DIY skills. If you want to fill in a pool, you’re better off hiring a local pool removal professional.
