    I've reviewed RJ's previously and just find them great to work with. They do good work and are fair. Engine repair and maintenance are not in my wheelhouse so I do minimum amount of work on my machines. I view the periodic professional "overhaul" that RJ's does as part of the cost of my investment.

    They called ahead of time to schedule a time to pick up my equipment. Showed up when they said they would. Very friendly and courteous. When they looked into why my snowblower didn't start - they told me that my starter had broken some teeth. They let me know the cost to repair and then ordered the part once I OKed it. They delivered the snowblower and lawnmower back to me when they said they would. When I got them back - they were not only working - but they were so clean that they looked brand new.     I meant to write a glowing report when I first engaged Bob. He was terrific. He came to our home to give an estimate. He picked up and delivered our riding mower. He fixed it within the estimate, on time, and he completely cleaned the machine while he was at it. I will definitely call Bob again when I need this kind of service read less

    I had taken our snowthrower to R J Enterprises with the question: " is this thing worth fixing?" We had bought it used and it would not start in cold weather, which of course is when you want a snowthrower. Bob Jennings repaired and tuned up the machine -- even cleaning it so it looked like new -- for a reasonable price. It not only starts but runs like new. When I picked it up, after I had paid, Bob refunded $5.15 for a part that was on the invoice, but which he did not use. That does not happen at most service businesses ! My only comment, not really a complaint, is that they did not phone with an estimate before doing the work. However, since the cost was reasonable and the turn-around was prompt, I did not mind read less

    Just the nicest people to deal with - can't say enough good things about them! Mower came back promptly, looking all spruced up… with a "good to go" bill of health from Bob, who'd clearly done a thorough overhaul of the entire system. So imagine my disappointment and dismay when I set out to tackle my *not*-suburban "lawn" - it used to be surrounded by hay fields so it's not nice and even, and has every kind of grass and not-grass stuff growing in it - and find that my mower was now cutting even *worse* than it had ever done before!! I was nervous about calling back about the situation, expecting I'd get the kind of defensiveness and "what do you know about machines anyway" reactions I'd gotten when I'd tried to get its problems sorted out with previous service companies. But Bob and Judy were totally not like that. They very receptive, and determined to help sort out what was wrong. In fact they and another repair person came to my home & spent a good chunk of time here expressly to do that. With Judy video-taping everything so they can ask a Toro rep, they watched me drive it, listened carefully & respectfully to my feedback about what was not OK about how it functioned, and they both also drove it so they could see how it performed - and then we all brainstormed about what might be not working, and what might help. For starters Bob said that a machine that doesn't have a floating deck would have a better chance of tackling the uneven surface and non-uniform growth if it was driven very slowly over the really challenging areas - slower than you'd think to take it, slower for sure than the original owner had demonstrated, and/or the various other service people had done. It makes complete sense - and he's absolutely correct about it. Bob also suggested that even though I wasn't using the bagger, using bagger-*blades*, not the ones the local parts supplier said to use, might improve the performance on this kind of lawn, because bagger-blades are designed to lift the growth more than the regular ones. Moreover, he offered to get those for me, and fit them for me to try out - and only charge for the blades and a pick up fee. I couldn't be happier with that: it's very fair. I was pretty upset at having spent as much as I did to get a machine come back working less well than it had before, but Bob can't be blamed for a machine that's not what it's hyped to be. So at this point I'm waiting for him to get back to me to set up a time to get the other blades on. It's taking a bit longer than I'd hoped, but unlike with the other companies, I can still use the machine as is, while I wait for him to get an open time slot read less

    Called for regular spring service on self propelled mower. Got a very quick response and Judy came to pick up the mower. We were contacted a couple of days later with 2 estimares, one for the normal servicing and one for another repair. I called back and taked to Judy about whether the additional repair was needed and we agreed to just do theroutine maintenance and then send the mower back if the other issue became a problem. They order the parts and did the maintenance. Bob and Judy returned the mower right on schedule. It looked almost new. We have never had equipment returned looking that good! We were impressed with everything this company offered. All of our equipment will be going there now read less
