"We moved out of state in the spring and was not able to monitor when lawn care was needed.  Mike did an excellent job trimming the hedges - which bordered the length of the drive.  Very neat and clean cut.  In addition, he cleaned up the yard in the spring and made it look nice for the showings, the yard was in tough shape after the harsh winter.
Throughout the summer, Mike kept an eye on the lawn and would schedule the mowing when needed.  He would call me or email me to let me know when it was needed.
Being out of state and trying to sell the house was stressful, having Mike keep tabs on the house and taking such good care of the lawn to keep it looking nice while on the market was a huge relief.
I would definitely recommend Mike and will use him again if back in the area.

Customers say: True professional

"Brandon is great. He’s very communicative and cares about doing a great job. I needed my backyard torn up, a fence removed, stones removed, and then leveled. Next I wanted to seed with clover, as we have a female dog and she’s destroyed our lawn. He was upfront he’d never done clover before, but neither have I, so we figured we’d give it a shot. He showed up exactly when he said he would and did a really nice job. I’m excited to see how the clover turns out. It’s on me now to ensure I water properly while the seeds germinate. 🤞🏻"

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

Many homeowners in warmer climates like this resilient, hearty grass because it can tolerate excessive heat and drought while developing into a lush lawn. Unlike other grasses, Bermuda grass grows and spreads quickly and can withstand excessive foot traffic. But whether Bermuda grass is good for lawns may depend on your geographic location, as this grass has a low tolerance for cooler temperatures, which causes it to go dormant and turn brown in the winter months.

In general, expect to mulch your leaves about once or twice every fall. You want there to be a decent amount of leaves on the ground, but not too much where it’s difficult for the mower to cut through.

Post-dethatching, lawn recovery includes watering, fertilizing, and reseeding as necessary to restore health and promote growth.

First, make sure you’re watering your grass early in the morning (and keep in mind you don’t have to water every day). Doing this helps ensure the water is able to soak in before the hot temps evaporate all of the water. Also, when you mow, don’t mow your grass as short as you would in non-drought conditions. Taller grass can help slow down the rate at which soil dries out. Finally, take your leftover lawn clippings and spread them out across the lawn to give it a little extra shade and nutrients.

If maintained correctly, natural grass should last between five and 15 years, or up to several decades, depending on your home’s climate conditions. You can extend your grass’ lifespan by treating it well, including regular mowing, weeding, watering, and preventative pest control. Consider hiring a local lawn care service to provide everything your grass needs to live a long, healthy life.
