Small jobs welcome

"Excellent quality, Installation and service. Donny was great to work with, he came out to my house last spring, took measurements, gave us a very reasonable quote and got the fence installed promptly for both the kids and the dog. This past fall Donny came out and added additional panels of fencing to extend our yard. He does great work, high quality and is very reasonable. I would recommend Streamline Fence and Landscaping to anyone (as we have)."

"I needed a fence replaced by a certain date. I contacted several contractors receiving estimates for the replacement. One of the contractors was NN Fence. They had contacted me as soon as I posted on HomeAdvisor’s to set up a date and time to review my project. I received my estimate from them the next day, matter of fact two as I wanted to look at two options. I was very impressed with their knowledge, accountability, advise, accommodating my need to complete the project quickly and their dedication to getting the job done so I hired them for the job. The fence far exceeded my expectations, the fence is beautiful, solid, precise and my neighbor is just as happy as I am. If I could rate them higher, I would. Very happy customer. I highly recommend NN Fence."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

A silt fence should be buried in a trench that is 6 to 12 inches deep. A depth of at least 6 to 8 inches is necessary to prevent water and sediment from running underneath the fence. A deeper trench, up to 12 inches, provides better anchoring during wet and windy weather. To ensure proper installation, look for a red line on the silt fence fabric, which often indicates the correct burial depth. Always adhere to local guidelines and regulations; a professional contractor will be familiar with these requirements.

When deciding between fence post foam and concrete, the best choice depends on your specific needs and priorities. Concrete is generally considered stronger and more durable, making it the preferred option for heavy, load-bearing posts. However, expanding foam offers several advantages, such as being more eco-friendly and curing much faster. For smaller fences or those made with lighter materials like vinyl or wire mesh, post foam is a good alternative. While concrete is more affordable, it is also harder to work with and has a longer curing time.

If you don’t have a pressure washer or simply don’t want to lug it out of storage, you can spot-clean your wood fence with a garden hose instead. Apply your mild detergent with a soft cloth, scrub with a broom or other soft-bristled brush, and rinse with a garden hose.

The most common hog wire gauge for a fence is 12.5. However, you can choose from a few gauges based on your needs. While 12.5 is a reliable gauge for penning in large, strong animals, 9 gauge is a better option of you have large animals that are easily spooked, such as horses. For smaller animals, like dogs or pigs, you can use a 16 gauge hog wire.

Check with your local laws, which might state that you have to build a fence around your plunge pool. If you have children or pets or live in an area with abundant wildlife, you should consider building a fence around your pool for safety. Pools can present a drowning hazard, and while plunge pools are not very deep, younger children can get hurt if they try to dive into them. A fence can help protect your family and visitors from injury.
