The show up when they say (weather permitting!), and do a great job. Really impressive as it is hard to find good reliable services for lawn care. There price is higher than our previous contractor, but the fact that our previous contractor ditched his business and did not tell his clients, that pretty much tells you that you get what you pay for. No. Rock salt and similar concoctions use sodium chloride. It may be great sprinkled on your roasted potatoes, but plants don’t like it at all and in large amounts it will poison the soil. So while standard salt will dry out a tree, it will kill everything else nearby and cause other problems. The confusion is due to the word “salt” being an old catch-term for any dry chemical mixture.

Unless there’s some sort of rule in your community’s homeowners’ association that requires you to remove a stump, there’s no law that says you have to take it out.
