"High recommendations for all aspects of job (complete priming, scraping, wood replacement, painting, repair of exterior of house). The house had not been painted in a long time and it showed it. Bruno, the owner and sometimes crew member, gave a knowledgable assessment of what needed to be done in a walk-around inspection. He wrote out what he would do in a clear contract/proposal and stuck to the contract even though a lot of surprises showed up during the preparation process. The job was complicated by bad weather and rain but it never hindered the process or progress of the job. We also had not made a decision about the final color until the painting began. We never felt pressured to make a decision even when we had changed our minds from our first proposal - multiple colors rather than one. The crew was hard-working, friendly, professional, efficient. They didn't make us feel in the way or uncomfortable doing our activities while they were hard at work. Tireless workers. The price was fair and competitive. When asked, we have told our friends the price and they always said that they thought it would have been more. Excellent materials were used for the project. "Barn Rescue – My barn was hit by a vehicle, which broke a large post and pushed section of siding out from under the roofline, plus major damage at ground level. Brad shored it up for the winter with an array of jacks and an enormous chain to ensure the thing wouldn’t fall down till they could return in the spring. Come spring, they fully replaced the damaged section’s support members and facade, and added bracing to the attic, rendering it stronger than before. Foundation support: The sagging beams and jerry-rigged support columns in the dirt basement of our 18th century house were inadequate. They dug and poured a dozen footings and lally columns, supporting a line of new 6x6 and 9x9 beams that provide solid support to the house above. They showed up promptly every day, worked fast, and left the site clean and finished. Both Brad and Chad have a deep knowledge about old houses and the techniques that were used, and I felt my historic register property was in good hands."
