I would recommend him for any kind of landscaping and tree services to anyone. He was very professional and friendly who elaborated in detail why he pruned specifically each tree. A+++++"

"I cannot say enough good things about Advanced Tree Service .They were professional, polite, fast, and accommodating throughout the entire job. They used controlled, safe techniques to remove difficult limbs, and the cleanup was spotless. Extremely happy with James Coyle and his team at Advanced Tree Service and would definitely recommend them. They even left our lawn cleaner than when they arrived! Their prices are competitive and they are extremely knowledgeable. They will be our go-to for tree services!"

Cameron Pierce Tree Service was recommended by a friend, he came and gave me a quote and his price was very reasonable. Showed up on time and did an awesome job, his crew paid close attention to detail not to damage the property. I would highly recommend him and use him again"

"Correia Landscaping did an amazing job! Jose was very responsive and communicative throughout the whole process. He promptly provided a very fair estimate, and got started on our project within days. He and his brother worked very hard to meticulously complete our project! The stone work they did is absolutely beautiful, and was completed quickly. Much attention was paid to detail, and the area surrounding was left better than when they found it! Absolutely would recommend this company to my friends, and will be ising them again!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

It can take anywhere from one month to a couple of years for tree roots to grow back in sewer lines. Tree roots can cause extreme havoc on your sewer lines, potentially cracking them and causing untreated wastewater to make its way into the groundwater. Have a landscaping pro remove trees and roots before installing your system, or call a pro to do it retroactively as soon as you can.

You can use herbicides to prevent roots from growing without killing the tree itself, however they must be used with caution. Systemic herbicides are absorbed by the root and can kill off problematic roots. However, herbicides can sometimes negatively impact nearby plants, so the solution is best used sparingly.

Pruning is an effective way to prevent a diseased branch from infecting the rest of the tree. If the infection isn’t caught early enough and the pathogen has spread to the trunk or the majority of the branches though, it is too late to prune off the affected areas and you’ll likely need to remove the tree.

Since overwatering can harm mature trees just as much as a lack of water, it’s important to know the signs of an overwatered tree. If your tree’s leaves are yellowing, wilting, or dropping leaves, it’s likely that you’re overwatering. Other common signs include rotting, fungi, soggy soil, soft or peeling bark, falling leaves, and brittle roots.

If you realize that you’ve been overwatering your mature tree, stop watering and give the soil time to dry out. Then moving forward, increase time between watering sessions.

Completely topping a plum tree is a risky business. Cut too much, and you’ll kill your tree. That said, you do need to trim the top of your tree to encourage bushy growth, maintain your tree’s vase shape, and limit size.

A plum tree's central leader (or trunk) should never extend more than 3 feet above the highest branch. When you first plant your tree, cut the central leader so it’s 2 to 3 feet tall. As it grows, cut it back 12 to 20 inches until it reaches its desired height. Never prune more than one-third of the new growth.
