"Grasshopper did a great job installing our sprinkler system in the fall. We just opened the system up this spring and issues were resolved promptly by their professional personable staff and the system is ready to go. Highly recommend!"

"Saul showed up early and his company was able to efficiently remove a dead pine tree in my yard. They also trimmed some other tree branches that were getting close to my home."

"Starling was polite and kept me well informed and the team was here earlier than expected. However, the team did a subpar job. Fall cleanup usually means; pickup leaves and yard debris and quickly mow the lawn for the winter. All they did was pick up the leaves. Debris from trees and shrubs were just moved to three different piles and left here. Left our yard items (chairs, small table, etc.) in disarray. Needless to say there was no mowing. Yard obviously looks better without a bunch of leaves, but the work was definitely not complete and I had to do half of it anyway. Will not hire again."

"They worked for a day, from 8 am to 3 pm, working on the trees as directed, they did an excellent job, used them several times before, gave me a 5 percent discount on an Angie's List discount coupon. Everything I wanted done was done and they did it great."

"

I  called and immediately talked to a human instead of a machine, set a date and time for an on-site review and the owner, Rich Gambale, showed up to the minute at the appointed time.

The work was done professionally, carefully and to my complete satisfaction.  A climber went up the trees, cut and lowered branches with complete control over the long and heavy limbs.  I wanted the usable logs for a wood stove and the crew (3) cut and stacked them.  The ground was raked clean, branches chipped and I was told several times that if I had any concerns, they would come right back to take care of them.  At the bottom of their invoice is printed the statement, "Thank you for the opportunity to EARN your business" and they certainly have done just that.

"Mario and his team were outstanding. I would highly recommend them for tree removal services. Mario reached out to me almost immediately after I submitted a request on here, and came to look at the work I needed done the next day. He quoted me a very good price, almost too good to be true for removing more than a dozen trees, including 4 fairly big ones. Watching his crew work was very impressive. Their knowledge and experience in tying off large branches and bringing them down in tight spaces right where they wanted them to go was amazing to watch. They arrived when they said they would and worked hard all day. When they finished and cleaned up, they left my yard even cleaner than when they arrived. I had a pile of brush and an old stump in the corner of my yard that I was planned to clean up, but Mario's crew cleaned it up and took the stump away without being asked. Great bunch of guys I would hire again in a second."

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

Using a truck to remove a bush falls into the category of “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” While it is possible to use a truck to pull out a bush, if you don’t have the right equipment, if you’re not familiar with attaching things to your vehicle correctly, or if you don’t have enough room, it’s a risky option. To prevent damage to your vehicle, it’s worth using tools made for the job of digging and cutting roots instead.

Most junk removal services don’t take hazardous materials, including paint, gasoline, bleach, and other chemicals. When gathering quotes, ask the company about its specific restrictions.

Always remove leaves from hardscapes and other lawn features. Leaves and other yard debris can become slippery and dangerous, and fallen leaves can discolor and stain materials like stone, brick, and concrete. Use a rake, brush, or leaf blower to remove leaves from hardscapes and prevent staining.

If you don’t have too many fallen leaves, one option is to leave them in place. They’ll eventually decompose, adding vital nutrients to the soil. But if you have a thick layer of leaves smothering your lawn, you’ll want to either mulch them or bag them up for removal. If you choose to collect and bag your leaves, check with your local municipality on any specific guidelines to dispose of them. Many cities offer curbside pickup if the leaves are disposed of in yard waste bags or containers.

Trimming a rose bush is similar to cutting back your shrubs or other bushes.

First, you’ll start by removing old, damaged, or diseased branches from the base. Next, thin out the plant's interior by removing thin, weak branches. Finally, you’ll want to cut off buds where the leaves meet the stem.

Trim away using a 45-degree angle, as this will help with water runoff and promote new growth outward.
