"Johnny was awesome.  He was prompt in contacting us and the pricing was best in town.  Job was done professionally and quickly. Johnny gave a very personal touch to the experience.   I love the color and looks beautiful.  He followed up to check on us after job completed.  Would recommend to anyone asking for a painter.

"Alvin and one of his crew, Reggie, painted our laundry room, kitchen, hallway, hall bath and a utility closet, 4 doors and all the trim and base boards. They also refinished some stained cabinets and touched up some worn areas as well. It was a pleasure to have both of these gentleman in my home. They were polite, professional, incredibly neat and quietly went about their work over a period of 2 1/2 days. When they were finished there was not one drop of paint in the wrong place. Reggie who has been with Alvin for 10 years is a master at painting trim. When I did a final check of the project everything was perfect. I definitely recommend this company and plan to hire them in the future."

"Overall, it went very well. I was very happy that the man who did the estimate was the same man who came out and did the work. Mr. Dupre even came out to my house the Saturday before the job started and applied a sample to make sure the stain color was what I wanted.
I live north of Baton Rouge and that (along with traffic) caused Mr. Dupre to be a little late some of the scheduled work days.
I did not get a competitive quote because I found very few providers who do actual refinishing and the price seemed reasonable based on the amount of time needed to do the job properly. I don't know if "refacing" would have been cheaper, but I wanted to keep the wood grain pattern and I think "refacing" removes that natural look. Mr. Dupre did need to come back a few days after the job was done to touch up the polyurethane on some of the cabinets.
The cabinets are more glossy than I had anticipated, but I am not going to fault Mr. Dupre for this. They look excellent in my opinion.
I would definitely recommend Quality Coatings for painting and refinishing.

**Updated. I have been trying to get in touch with Mr. Dupre for two weeks now to change the finish from semi-gloss to matte. No response. Maybe he's very busy with other jobs."

"Edwardo, the owner of the company, and his crew arrived on time and ready to address the issues we discussed. They saw additional damage upon getting under the house to do the work. He agreed to come back and repair the additional damage for a very reasonable rate. I appreciated his integrity in making sure the job was complete. Edwardo and his crew were on time and very professional. I will definitely call him for future needs in foundation work."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

You may be wondering: can you paint cement? Fortunately, the answer is yes.

To change the color of your cinder blocks, you have two options. You can either paint them or stain them. Either way, you'll be able to choose from a wide range of color options. Some popular colors for cinder block painting include off-white shades and gray tones, which add a modern spin to the traditional gray blocks.

If you have a smooth, already bonded concrete surface, painting a concrete pool deck can be a great way to brighten up the area and add longevity. If the surface has another covering or a different type of paint has been used previously, you won’t be able to paint it without removing the existing coating. Wooden decks benefit from painting as it helps to keep them watertight. Quality pool deck paints also help make the surface less slippery and less likely to gather mold and mildew or prematurely crack.

Limewash and whitewash do not harm surfaces if you apply them correctly. Use on non-suitable surfaces can cause issues. For instance, applying limewash or whitewash to surfaces with existing sealants or incompatible materials may lead to poor adhesion or flaking. Also, harsh cleaning agents on limewashed or whitewashed surfaces can damage the finish. Proper preparation, application, and maintenance ensure that limewash and whitewash do not harm surfaces.

Apply a wood stain or sealant to properly maintain a wood deck railing and keep it looking new. Sealants protect wood from moisture and weathering. Regularly inspect the railing for loose screws, damaged balusters, and other signs of wear to make timely repairs. Routinely clean the railing using mild soap, water, and a soft bristle brush.

You don’t necessarily have to remove all the old paint before repainting your deck, but it’s best to remove as much as possible to ensure a smooth and long-lasting finish. Prioritize scraping off loose, peeling, or flaking paint, and sand down rough areas to create a smooth surface for the new paint to bond with.
