"Tim, the owner was friendly and he helped us initially pick out the colors. He told us there were roughly ten jobs ahead of us on the listing, and we were ok with that. His crew was nice and helped make the experience good overall. The only side note being that there was some confusion on fascia color which we had picked out. Even so, the issue was corrected and the painting and stain on the posts looks great. "
John DeAngelo was wonderful. He explained exactly what they would do step by step and they did everything he said they would do. They washed down everything and did not put bleached water on the brass adornments on the doors. They also sanded the metal doors that were caused to rust by the previous painter. Not only was the house beautifully painted but the shutters were painted as well (I'd decided to replace them but now there is no need. The little fence and gate I'm planning to replace was also painted. My house now looks wonderful and new. I was told that they would use two coats of paint and at first I expected for something to be shoddy but to my surprise, nothing is. I was guaranteed that the paint job would last at least 20 years and I believe them. Without cost they even repainted my mailbox to match my house. I was so pleased with the work I asked John if he knew anyone that did floors. He said yes and when ready I will definitely consider his recommendation, and I would hire anyone he recommended. The person that finished up the work was very friendly and since having extra time said for a little extra he would paint the deck, which he did. He brought the receipt back for the cost of the paint and that surprised me. I was amazed that nothing was done under cover and he reported to John all that he did.
I would definitely hire them again...especially to paint the inside of my home. Very good recommendation, Angie's List.

Two coats of stain are ideal for the best protection and aesthetic appeal. However, if your decking is made of particularly dense hardwood, you may only need one coat. If you want an intense color, two coats are ideal.
It’s best to use an exterior latex acrylic paint to promote maximum adhesion to composite decking. This flexible paint type can better cope with the natural expansion and contraction that can occur with composite deck boards. Oil-based paints won’t adhere as effectively and are more likely to crack and peel as the boards flex. Testing whether your chosen paint will stick on an inconspicuous section or a spare board is a good idea.
The longevity of paint on wood depends on factors like the quality of the paint, surface preparation, exposure to elements, and maintenance. Exterior paint on wood surfaces can last 5 to 15 years or more with proper care and maintenance. Interior paint tends to have a longer life span, often 10 years or more. Regular cleaning, touch-ups, and addressing any issues like peeling or cracking can extend the life of the paint.
You can use latex or acrylic paint outdoors. Although acrylic paint tends to last longer outside, it also costs more, so if you’re painting the outside of your house, for instance, latex paint is often a go-to option. However, acrylic will be your best choice if you want to spend some extra money for added durability.
The best exterior paint for the job of painting your front porch depends on the material you’ll be painting. Acrylic paint is often recommended for a wooden porch as it’s durable and easy to apply. If your porch is made of concrete, you’ll need to find a formula suited to that material.
