"sent people over that did not know what they was suppose to do. owner would show up at dark to remove work his workers did. he would work with a light on his head. instead of fixing leak he made it worst he also cover up rotten wood with new wood. did more damage than had already to home. had to hire a new contractor to remove his work and do job right. new contractor charged me to remove all his work due to poor workmanship. new contractor wrote letter stating this. filed a complaint with the BBB as to this date a month later he has not responded to them. he did this to my mom a 84 year old women. charged he 2511.00 dollars. do not hire this contractor he will do more damage than repair."

Most of the time, you or your contractor will spray the concrete form and framework with a release agent or oil to prevent sticking. This is common practice with wood and steel forms. Asphalt is not a type of concrete. While both are a common type of pavement, asphalt is composed of aggregates (like sand and gravel) and bitumen; concrete is a mixture of cement, aggregates, and water. Here are some of the key differences between asphalt and concrete driveways.

A 4-inch-thick concrete slab can support around 4,000 pounds per square foot if a contractor reinforces the slab with rebar, while that same slab without reinforcements will support closer to 1,000 pounds. For the purposes of a patio, 4 inches in thickness without reinforcement should suffice unless you’re installing heavy kitchen equipment or a hot tub on it. In those cases, reinforcing your slab and sticking with 4 inches of thickness should provide plenty of strength.
