"Not only did S&P provide the smaller things but when asked to price and complete a covered gazebo on a concrete slab with a retaining wall around half of it they not only provided a good price but a good finished quality product as well. I would recommend S&P for any of your needs big or small. P.s. I wish I had pictures of before and after work but they were not on a cloud but on my old phone."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Through expert matching of texture and paint for an invisible repair.

Drywall is safe to cut as long as you follow proper procedures, such as wearing personal protective equipment and using the right tools to score and cut the drywall. When cutting new drywall, it can release dust with silica and other compounds that could pose health risks. Leave cutting drywall to the pros, or wear a high-quality respiratory mask, goggles, and other PPE when handling drywall.

While every home has its own unique needs, ceiling drywall installation typically follows a staggered or stepped pattern to enhance structural integrity and reduce the visibility of seams. Starting from one corner, sheets are placed perpendicular to the ceiling joists, with the ends of adjacent sheets meeting along the center of the joist. The next row begins with a half sheet, ensuring joints don't align vertically. This alternating pattern, combined with proper taping and mudding, creates a seamless appearance and strengthens the ceiling structure, minimizing the risk of cracks over time.

Options include bricks, natural stone, and concrete blocks. Choose based on durability, aesthetics, and budget.

Damp plaster does dry out, although the drying time depends on several factors, including the type of plaster, the surrounding temperature, moisture content, and the extent of the dampness. Sometimes, it can take weeks or months for wall plaster to dry naturally.
