Small jobs welcome

"Scot went behind the call of duty. He repaired a leg on an antique bed. It came out beautiful. When he came, he helped my husband put the antique bed together. We will use him again if we need to. We also would recommend him to others for his excellent and conscientious work."

"Very good work - EJ installed 12 door handles repaired multiple holes in the sheet rock and installed 4 window blinds. Hard working and diligent all day long. I have scheduled another work day next week and would highly recommend EJ to anyone who has some home repair needs. Great experience and even better value. Thanks EJ and home advisors !"

"A very professional painting crew. Mr. Galan was a very honest professional contractor when he came out and gave me a bid for the painting of the exterior of my home. He suggested different colors that I would like. He steered me in the correct way to make my home, be very appealing when it was finished, and the workmanship was impeccable, I cannot say more positive things about him. Very happy with the final paint job and the whole process that led up to the finishing of my house."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can put too much shock in a pool, and it is crucial to follow the directions on the product you are using. Adding excess shock can upset the chemical balance, make the water cloudy, have adverse effects on swimmers, damage pool equipment or surfaces, and even encourage certain types of algae to grow. If you have over-shocked your pool, perform a water test and adjust the chemicals as necessary. The pool's chemical balance will eventually return to normal as the excess chlorine dissipates over time.

A qualified pool contractor who is familiar with local regulations can assess your yard and let you know if it’s feasible to install a pool. Whether or not your yard is suitable for a pool depends on a number of factors, including the size of your yard, the placement of utility lines, your yard’s terrain, and more. It’s a good idea to see if it’s even possible to put a pool on your property before you get too far into planning.

The depth of your pool depends on its intended use, the size of your lawn, and whether you opt for an in-ground or aboveground pool. Aboveground pools tend to be between four and six feet deep while in-ground pools range anywhere from three to eight feet. Permanent installations also have the option of shallow and deep ends.

The best time to schedule an annual pool inspection is early or late spring, before the busy summer season. Your inspector can identify urgent issues so you can address them before using the pool. If your region is warm year-round, schedule an inspection before you start swimming regularly.

Aboveground pools take between one day to a few days to install, depending on the pool size and type. Your project may take longer if you’re planning to complete other projects simultaneously, like building a deck around the pool. If your land is hilly or rocky, you’ll also need to budget time for the land preparation. Aboveground pools need to be installed on a level surface.
