"Ronnie Lacombe came to my house, surveyed the repair and explained what had to be done. He picked up the chair that day. After repairing the chair he offered to have it powder coated from a third party but thought their price was too high. He had it primed and painted for a fair price and when the color turned out wrong had it repainted for no additional charge. He delivered the newly painted and repaired chair. His repair was well done. I supervised Navy welders aboard ship and know something about how it should be done, His repair was stronger than the original construction."

"Overall a really good Job. I had a roof leak in my kitchen. I called Gus Hurst Construction. Gus came right, found the leak, gave me a good quote and repaired the roof . With out Gus being diligent and fair, more damage could have been done to my kitchen. I would definitely hire him again."

Small jobs welcome

"Darin came out quickly and gave me an estimate for an aluminum gate. I had asked to replace a wooden one. He showed me the benefits of the aluminum. I had concerns about my frenchie fitting in between the slats. He even measured her to make the get customer size so she could not fit. He did a geat job and a quick job. My gate looks great! I am very happy. He even helped me with the financing!"

"They were efficient and quick.  They did the job, cleaned and did not leave a mess.  We felt that it was a fair price.  The gentleman came in.  It was not a major job but there some things I'd like done and I think I will call them back.  The door was fixed and everything was fine."

Gate Repair FAQs, answered by experts

For homeowners concerned about security, an electric gate may offer peace of mind. Electric gates will require a code or remote to open, so you don’t have to worry about young children getting out of the yard or someone breaking onto your property by simply swinging open the gate. But because it needs power to operate, installing an electric gate will be more complex and expensive.

Automatic gates don’t use too much electricity, and you should see a minimal effect on your utility bill. In fact, certain gate systems are entirely self-sufficient and rely on solar panels attached to or near the gate to power the motor. While a gate is large and there is a powerful motor moving it, it’s not something that sees constant use throughout the day. For most automatic gates, expect to see a utility bill increase of only around $10 per month.

Yes, driveway gates can help secure your home by deterring burglars from accessing your property. Climbing a gate slows down burglars while also attracting attention to your gate. If you live further down your property and want to increase security, you can also install a gate security camera that connects to your gate and monitors the area for suspicious activity.

Yes, professionals offer motorized or remote-controlled shutters for convenience and security.

While it is possible to install a manual gate yourself, it is generally not recommended. Professional installation is strongly advised, especially for automated or large driveway gates. Gates can be extremely heavy, sometimes weighing hundreds of pounds, which makes them bulky and dangerous to maneuver into place. Proper installation requires perfect positioning and balancing to ensure the gate swings smoothly and functions as intended. For automated gates, the wiring is also hazardous and typically requires a licensed electrician. Mistakes during a DIY installation can be costly, as materials alone can average around $1,000. Given the safety risks and the difficulty of achieving a proper setup, it is best to hire a professional gate installer.
