"Highly recommend Eagle Moving & Storage. Their service was professional, on time, and everything was handled with care. The entire crew were kind, respectful, and very hard working. Moving is very stressful for many different reasons, we have moved many times in the past. Eagle Moving & Storage eliminated all the stress on moving day. Thankful!"

"These guys were absolutely wonderful. I feel bad I've never taken the time to sit down and give them a review everything is always so crazy when you're moving and I've moved a bunch. I couldn't do it without them. They are always on time, professional And treat my belongings with the utmost respect. I would never use another company to move. I would like to mention the reason I remembered to sit down and leave one this time. They had a gentlemen named David Roth (I even made sure to get his name). He was such a hard worker and kept everything upbeat and I don't think he ever stopped. I will be requesting him on my next move for sure. Thanks Kentuckians Moving and David Roth for such a wonderful experience."

"Amazing crew!!! I've done a lot of moving over the years and this had to be one the easiest, stress free moves. They were thorough, safe, clean and on time. They moved things quickly and took great care to make sure everything was wrapped properly. I would absolutely use this company again for any future needs!!!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

Murphy beds can be relocated, but moving them requires disassembly and may involve potential wall repairs. Professional help is recommended to ensure safe removal and reinstallation, which may incur additional costs. Improper handling during the move can damage the bed’s mechanisms or structure, so careful planning and expertise are essential.

Plastic bins are excellent alternatives to moving boxes. They’re more durable than the traditional cardboard. Have any unused suitcases? Those can make for great storage solutions for your long-term needs. Avoid plastic bags or anything that doesn’t allow for breathability.

No, homeowners insurance does not typically cover moving expenses. Homeowners insurance provides coverage and pay-outs if you experience damage to the home you currently live in. You’ll need to save separately for moving expenses like hiring movers, renting a tow truck, or shipping your belongings.

It’s best to pack things that are in storage and non-essential items first. Start by packing up items you are taking from your storage unit, garage or shed, basement, and attic. You should wait to pack essential items such as toiletries and medications last.

Using moving pods is generally cheaper than hiring a full-service moving company, primarily because you handle the packing and loading yourself, which eliminates labor costs. The cost savings are most significant for long-distance or cross-country moves; for local moves, hiring a moving company might be the more economical option. Renting and shipping moving pods can cost between $2,000 and $5,000, depending on factors like distance, the number of containers, and the weight of your items. Some services also charge a monthly rental fee of $75 to $200. In comparison, hiring a professional moving company for a long-distance move typically costs between $2,700 and $10,000.
