Went with another contractor. 17 Feb 2025 – Chose Currans to do the project. 24 Mar 2025 – Inquired and Currans replied: "...end of April..." (no activity in April) 20 May 2025 – Inquired and Currans replied: “waiting for weather to clear” 1 Jun 2025 – Phillips: Asked to postpone until July, due to travel. 8 Jul 2025 – Inquired and Currans replied: “You all are on the schedule”. 26 Jul 2025 – Inquired and Currans replied: “Yes, sir. 100%” that we are on schedule. 31 Jul 2025 – Inquired and Currans replied: “Shooting for August 16th” 15 Aug 2025 – Inquired and Currans replied: “Yes sir. You’re up next week.” 28 Aug 2025 – Inquired and Currans replied: “Yes sir. Things have been hectic between your schedule and mine. "David Shephard and his employees installed 2 walkways, a garbage pad and a 35’ x 18’ driveway. His price was less than other contractors bidding on the job. The work was completed satisfactorily on 08/17/2017. We noticed a crack all the way across (18’) the driveway in January 2018. I informed David. After 5 calls, 2 text messages, and 2 visits, he said that section of the driveway would be replaced. Sad to say nothing was done in 2018. He always had a reason; weather, his schedule, his personal problems. I turned the communication over to my husband in 2019. He was called 4 times. On the 4th call on 07/11/2019 David said he had been here to look at the crack again. Don’t know why he didn’t let us know when he came so we could all discuss; or why he didn’t call afterward; or why he needed to see it again. The city had been working on the streets the last time he was here and he said the city probably caused the crack. No David, this is 2019, not 2018 when the crack occurred. By this time we were very frustrated. David didn’t want to be bothered by us or our problem any longer. He stated that concrete cracks. We realize that but within 4 months? He said we were pests. Huh, go figure!! Do your job and honor the contract and you’ll never hear from us again. We asked him to at least fill the crack if he wasn’t going to replace that section. He told us we could buy patch at home improvement stores & repair it ourselves. We originally replaced the driveway due to cracks and now we’re having to live with one which is only getting worse. What good is a 3 year warranty if the contractor doesn’t honor it?? David didn’t even honor the contract for a problem that occurred within the first 5 months. You’re only as good as your word and sorry to say his word is useless."

"The owner himself, damaged my privacy fence with equipment, and he left for the day and failed to inform me when the damage was done. The next day, I had to approach him about what happened, he did apologize and we both agreed that it was an accident. He assured me that it would be fixed and we both agreed he could square up when they were finished, in case there was more damage. As the project went on he did not have the proper permits to complete the job and I was worried about him being on my driveway with heavy equipment that he had been asked not to be on, in which they continued. I then asked if the company had insurance and who it was with, the owner never gave me the information. In fact, I spoke with him a couple of times about just paying me for materials and I would fix the fence myself. He kept putting me off until the next day. Well, needless to say I have not received the money for the materials. The fence company estimate was $350, I was only asking $50 for materials and I was going to fix it. There were a lot of issues that were very unprofessional, so it very much did not surprise me that he damaged a brand new fence and walked away without taking care of it. Very, very poor business practices."
