I’m a hardworking person who doesn’t like to leave projects half finished or looking sloppy, I can be a bit of a perfectionist. I’ve always fixed and built almost everything I needed myself and I take pride in being self sufficient. I’ve been an electrician for a year and half now and before that I was fabricating aerators for private residences. I have a wife and two children, so I can handle the chaos of a whole house remodel even if you decide to alter any details halfway through.

"Very professional instillation, expert installers, high quality, high efficiency equipment, 'Trane' - outside, 'Coleman' - inside, even installed new 'Honeywell' thermostat, answered all my questions, recommended joining the "comfort club" to keep my new equipment at top performance, professional clean up after installation (even swept and vacuumed my floors) hauled away all old equipment, wouldn't even know they were here except for my shiny new equipment. I highly recommend ONTime's One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning INC for all your HVAC needs. Thanks Guys."

"These men were very professional. It was one of the hottest days of the year, but they stayed with the job which lasted 8+ hours. They went over any information I needed. I would definitely recommend the contractors Sears set me up with."

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"Excellent service, arrived next day ... a Friday. On-line scheduled appointment wasn't until following Monday. He called to confirm appointment, told him our need and he arrived ahead of the time verbally scheduled ... and days before the on-line scheduled time. He immediately diagnosed problem(s), corrected a potential major fire hazard (electrical short with burnt wiring), corrected a leak in refrigerant and recharged the unit. He did a cleaning and other routine maintenance checks and services. His pricing was very reasonable and below what I had anticipated. Very pleased, very honest; recommend this company without reservations."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Excessive humidity in a room often manifests through visible signs like condensation on windows or walls, a musty or damp odor lingering in the air, peeling wallpaper or paint, and the presence of mold or mildew. Experiencing discomfort due to a consistently clammy or sticky feeling can also indicate high humidity levels.

Yes, it's normal for air conditioners to leak tiny amounts of water due to condensation. Under normal circumstances, all excess moisture travels to the drain pan to be pumped through your system's drain line. You should call a technician to diagnose the issue if you're noticing frequent leaking or pooling. It's also important to investigate if your homeowners insurance can cover water damage.

While Freon is mostly odorless, a Freon leak will produce a faint chloroform-like smell. Some people find that Freon's odor has a subtle sweetness to it. Some telltale signs of a Freon leak beyond odor include ice crystals on your evaporator coil, bubbling sounds, and hissing noises.

ACs don't run on water. They're not connected to drain pipes or any part of your plumbing system. However, they need refrigerant to run. Refrigerant is a gas or liquid that has a low boiling point and absorbs the heat in your home. ACs need this in order to be functional and cool your home. If you suspect your AC is low on refrigerant, you need to contact a licensed HVAC professional. Refrigerant is a dangerous chemical that requires specialized training and permits to work with.

Yes, mini-split or ductless AC systems add value to a home and do not devalue it. They are an attractive feature for potential buyers, especially in older homes without existing ductwork, as they provide a practical air conditioning solution without the significant expense and hassle of installing traditional ducts. Ductless systems also eliminate issues associated with conventional ductwork, such as noise and the potential for pests. Furthermore, homeowners value energy-efficient solutions, and mini-splits offer high efficiency for both heating and cooling, plus zoned temperature control. This leads to lower energy consumption and reduced electric bills, which is a major selling point.
