"The crew (Lewis White, Chris Jones, Harold Harris, and Derel Davis) where absolute professionals. They had to endure quite unpleasant conditions to get the job done. They were courteous and expedient in the process and they ensured that they cleaned up all messes before they left. We so appreciate their work ethic."

"Mr. Mayne came out to our house and gave us an estimate on the work to be performed.  He was punctual and very polite.  We felt the price was reasonable so we decided to use his services.  He was very busy and he said he would be able to complete the work in about a month (the middle of October).  When we didn't hear from him I called and he apologized and said that he had gotten behind, but that he would come out the following week.  He followed up by phone and came out when he said to jack hammer the old sidewalk and put in forms for the new concrete.  He had to wait on the concrete, so two days later he had the new sidewalk poured.  We are happy with the quality of the job and would use him again if we had need of concrete work or repairs

"I have nothing but good things to say about Mendez concrete. They are very honest, hardworking and kept me updated of every step of the project. Leonel and the crew were very professional and respectful of the property also very approachable and friendly. They did a brand new driveway and re-did the sidewalk for my home and it looks amazing all for a very reasonable price too. I would definitely recommend them and without hesitation contact them again for any future concrete work my home may need."

"Mr. Barrera was very easy to work with and did a great job on our front steps and retaining wall. Front steps are more complex than most, 13 steps curving up a hill to the front door. They did a complete demolition, framing and pouring of new steps and retaining wall, including coloring and stamping the concrete. I expect to work with Mr. Barrera on other jobs we need done in the coming months."

Concrete Walls questions, answered by experts

Through proper drainage solutions and compacting the foundation soil.

Homeowners can increase the usefulness of their garage space in other ways, and one option is to extend the length of the garage by making it deeper. The process is similar to traditional garage extensions, but the end product is a garage with a different layout rather than additional parking spaces.

Aim for a concrete thickness of at least 4 inches for the walls of your above-ground storm shelter and 3.0 to 3.5 cubic yards of concrete for the base of your storm shelter. If you’re concerned about the thickness of your concrete while building a storm shelter, get in touch with a professional storm shelter builder to make sure your work is up to code and safe.

Yes, thicker concrete is less likely to crack. The thicker the concrete is, the less susceptible it is to extreme changes in weather conditions that often cause concrete to crack or chip. If you’re unable to install a thicker concrete driveway for any reason, you can also ask your professional to install more rebar or wire mesh to provide greater strength and better resilience to damage.

Brick walls are typically more expensive than concrete walls due to higher material and labor costs. Brick wall costs can range from $10 to $45 per square foot, plus $70 to $110 per hour for labor. Meanwhile, concrete block walls usually cost $10 to $20 per square foot, depending on the material type. Labor for concrete tends to be less intensive and costly. Ultimately, concrete is often the more affordable choice, especially for larger projects.
