"This one-star rating is generous! We are seven weeks into a four-day job at our house! The have been back three times to finish the job and it is still not done. My back yard is a mud pit! I have been informed by the "office" that it will take two more weeks before I can be put on the schedule for a crew to come back. The crew is working from their Lancaster office, and the managers won't return phone calls and are hiding behind the receptionist. I work just a few miles from their Lexington office, so I decided to pop in and talk to a different person only to find out that there is no staff in this office. The website for the Lexington office has a picture of the building and posted hours of 9 am to 6 pm, but it is just a building with mailboxes and a few shared meeting rooms used by several companies. Customer service is absolutely horrible. Think twice before hiring USS!"

Then, we were told that we need all new siding to reinstate our warranty even though we had to pay and fix all of our ceilings and drywall. It's very unfortunate and I hope this helps a future roof buyer."

You may need to replace drywall because of smoke damage. If the drywall is covered in soot, you may be able to clean it, but it will require a lot of time and effort. Homeowner’s insurance will almost always cover fire damage and repairs unless your insurer finds the fire was caused intentionally. In most cases, if the fire was an accident, your provider will cover the cost of emergency services, like roof tarping and emergency securing, as well as the actual fire damage remediation and buildback to bring your home back to its previous condition. They should also cover alternative housing for as long as the fire damage restoration takes. You’ll just be responsible for paying the deductible.
