"I looked for years for someone to repair a tile bathroom job that had been poorly done, including regrouting significant areas. Grout Medic did the job and demonstrated complete professionalism all the way. It wasn’t cheap but they delivered. Showed up promptly, did what they were contracted to do (and a little more!), and Jeremy was a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to work with Jeremy in the future."

Customers say: Terrific value

"My wife and I got 4 estimates to have our deck enclosed. 3 of the estimates averaged $8,000 dollars. we didn't want anything fancy. Neon's bid was $2,700. we chose Neon at Quality Custom Finish out of Lawrenceburg, KY. Neon started on time and fished on time. his communication was great and the quality of work was amazing. Neon is highly knowledgeable, hardworking and has a great personality. I should note that others wanted a large down payment before starting our project. Neon did not ask or require a down payment we paid him when the job was complete. my wife and I love our enclosed deck and God blessed us with Neon. we would highly recommend him to anyone."

Dependable, punctual, finish the job in a timely manner. They clean everything up. Very mannerly and respectful as well. We highly recommend them. Give them a try, you won't be sorry. Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Silicone caulk shouldn’t be used in place of grout because each material serves its own purpose. Thanks to its flexibility, silicone caulk is good for sealing around the perimeter of tiled floors, where movement and expansion might occur. However, grout is more durable, making it a better option for the joints in between tiles, which need to withstand constant weight and foot traffic.

Porcelain countertops have a fairly long life span, sometimes lasting for decades. Depending on how much wear and tear you put your countertops through, it could last 25 to 50 years. But be warned, porcelain is also prone to cracking, so as long as you take good care of it, you’ll have those countertops looking brand new for years to come.

It’s not a good idea to lay tile and grout on the same day. The adhesive or thin-set that sticks the tiles to the surface needs plenty of time to dry before you can grout. Wait for 24 to 48 hours, depending on moisture levels in the space. The tiles can become misaligned and more prone to damage if you don’t wait.

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.

Regardless of the material, basic square tiles will never go out of style. Neutral colors like white, grey, beige, and black will always be in demand in residential and commercial settings. Certain designs, like herringbone and hexagonal patterns, are considered timeless. Porcelain and porcelain-like tiles will also never go out of style.
