An inspection typically requires 3 hours but can vary. The inspector will be available for consultation at any time after the inspection and will consult with clients not able to be present. • The Report: The report is 28 pages with digital photos that is ready at the end of the inspection. The inspection report with photos is typically emailed late on the same day the inspection is performed. Then within two days a hard copy report with additional maintenance/improvement folder and educational flyers as needed will be delivered or mailed to you.. • Ethics: This inspection exceeds the ASHI and conforms to the NAHI Standards of Practice. The inspector does not do repair work or obtain any fees if a referral is provided. A radon test has no effect on humans—only the radon in the air does. The test does not redistribute the radon that is already present so yes, it’s safe to be around the testing kit even if it isn’t safe to be in the room itself. The test absorbs and measures the radon, but doesn't absorb enough of it to make the room any safer.
