"He built a very nice shed and a lot of really strong shelves around the inside of my house. He also put down an oak floor for me and redone a ceiling that was a challenge because it was a plaster ceiling and it was old and uneven. The new ceiling was Sheet Rock and he done work in the attic so it was nice and flat! Plus many more small jobs. He can do any job I need and he does it all right!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

According to the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), the leading cause of house fires is cooking accidents, followed by fires started by heating equipment. Electrical issues are the third most common cause of house fires. The best way to keep your home protected is to use caution when cooking and never leave a stove or oven unattended while in use. You can also keep up with chimney cleaning and avoid using space heaters to reduce the risk.

To stop a smoke alarm from chirping, you must first determine what the device is alerting you to. If your battery is out or has been removed, simply change the battery and the chirping should stop. If it does not, try resetting the alarm, checking the breaker, or calling a professional to take a look.

Having a pellet stove can indeed raise your insurance rates since they're a relatively common cause of fires in the home. However, rate increases vary by insurance provider so you should reach out to yours to determine exactly how much your rates might increase with a new pellet stove install.

Pellet stoves are safer than wood stoves in many ways. They don’t produce as many creosote deposits as wood stoves do, they create less smoke, and the flames are contained, decreasing the risk of any sparks or embers creating a house fire. Pellet stoves also burn more cleanly and efficiently than wood stoves do.

Attics often contain a mix of insulation, electrical wiring, and other materials that can pose fire risks. That’s why furnaces should be installed in the attic with proper insulation and clearance from combustible materials. Additionally, the furnace should be equipped with proper ventilation and heat shields to prevent the buildup of excessive heat in the attic space. Regular inspections and maintenance are also crucial to identify and address any potential fire hazards.
