"Big shout out to Dil and Cruise for doing a splendid job . They were very courteous, patient enough to listen to my concerns and very friendly. The Job was to lift the concrete and seal the joint and cracks . Time will tell how well the seal will hold especially with colorodo weather but so far happy the result. Thank you Trasher."

"We had Laron from American Foam Solutions out to our residence on 4/16/20 to level our front steps leading onto the front porch and our side A/C pad. We cannot begin to express our gratitude for the impeccable service and high quality work that we received. He and his son went above and beyond for us while at our residence. He kept us informed throughout the job, maintained a clean work environment and left our concrete better than we expected. He is honest, fair, personable, timely and knowledgeable. We highly recommend him and his business. We look forward to him coming back out in the future to fix some of our driveway leveling issues."

"Peak Structural did driveway and sidewalk crack repair, leveled the driveway and walk with polyurethane foam, and did a concrete protection coat on all our outdoor driveway and sidewalk surfaces. We are very pleased with both Eric's and Zach's work. They were very professional, respectful, and on time. Eric took the time to answer any questions we had in a way that we understood. Zach also answered some of our questions, again, in a way that we understood. We highly recommend Peak Structural."

"Everyone did a great job and price was 7 thousand cheaper than Thrashers bid. Not sure how they stay in business but we are planning to build a new house when mine sells and definitely have you come out and work"

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. Some contractors also prefer polyjacking over mudjacking for more damaged and delicate slabs.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.
