"I used Mr. Handyman to lower some cabinets in our garage, paint them and and also paint our stairs. and a couple doors. Jerry, our technician, did a fabulous job. He worked quickly, offered some advice and we could tell he was experienced. The project was completed in record time and everything looks great - he also cleaned up the area for us and removed the trash left behind. We will be using their services again! Like Share"

"Daniel was very responsive to addressing a water heater issue in my time if need. Licensed, insured, knowledgeable and experienced were the main factors why I chose VonDutch. He was also helpful in recommending a replacement with a reputation for reliability compared to the lesser quality heater I previously owned. I appreciated his friendly attitude and care of service."

"Ty did some renovation on our bathroom. He replaced subfloor, laid new flooring, put in a new toilet and vanity, and replaced baseboards. The estimate he gave us was fair and accurate. He completed the work in a timely manner and was very professional. His work is top quality, and we will definitely hire him in the future for other projects. Highly recommend!"

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Most contractors do not charge for meetings, but it can depend on the project, mainly if it includes detailed consultations or project planning. For general estimates, homeowners shouldn't expect to be charged. Always ask up front about meeting fees to avoid surprises and ensure you know what’s included in the process.

Most professional appliance removal companies will not expect a tip, but offering one is a good way to show appreciation for a job well done. A tip of 10% to 20% is a good idea if your professionals are working in the rain or snow, if they take extra care not to damage your walls and furniture in the removal process, or if they need to maneuver the appliance through tight spaces or up or down stairs to get it out of your home.

Hiring a handyperson offers several benefits. They can save you time and hassle by completing tasks you may not have the time or experience to do yourself. A key advantage is ensuring the project is done correctly, which can prevent future issues and save money in the long run. For projects that pose safety risks, hiring an experienced professional is a much safer option. Additionally, handypeople are often more available for smaller jobs that larger contractors may not have the schedule for.

Yes, you can use a dremel tool to cut plexiglass. Follow the instructions under “How to Cut Plexiglass with a Saw,” and use a dremel tool with a 561 bit instead of a saw.

After cutting Corian® to the right size, you may have to attach it to another piece of Corian®, either at a corner or another seam. One way to create the tightest seam is to place the two pieces of Corian® on a level surface at ⅜-inch apart. Run a router in between the two slabs to create an identical edge on both pieces. Then use the proper DuPont Joint Adhesive for your type of seam and countertop to join the Corian® together.
