"Black cherry tree service was a wonderful company to work with! They did an excellent job removing 2 large trees and grinding the stumps and cleaning up after the project. The workers were pleasant and professional. I would recommend this company to everyone for tree services!!"

"I have used Enrigue for tree topping, tree trimming, tree removal, and bush removal. Fair pricing, honest, and insured. Not too many tree companies will gring the stump and it is included in the price."

"Angel Oak's service was quick and professional. They cleaned up fallen branches as they went, and cleaned up leftover branches when they were done. My only complaint was that they did not call ahead as they had agreed to do. I asked for a day's notice so that I could coordinate with our neighbors whose drive Angel Oak needed access to. Luckily our one neighbor was home and able to move vehicles out of their drive. Otherwise, I would absolutely hire Angel Oak again and would recommend their service to others."

"The crew did a great job at minimizing collateral damage and the clean up was very good. All the dead limbs that had been identified several weeks earlier were removed. The cherry tree ended up being too dangerous to climb so it was stump cut and placed in such a way that nothing was damaged in the effort. I have used Cory and his crew several times in the past and they are our go to tree service provider."

"We had several trees removed and the rest of our tree line cleaned up. Omar and his family did an awesome job with everything. From arriving on time, to raking the yard when they were finished, the whole family went over & above most contractors. Shoot, just showing up is better than most contractors!! The whole family was polite, the price was MORE than fair, and they made the 2 day project look effortless. We referred this company to neighbors and they were very excited at the job that was done. If you are looking for tree work, this is definitely the company to use!!!!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The best tools for tree removal include a chainsaw for large trees, an ax for notching and cutting down small trees, and a wedge to help control the direction a tree falls in. A hatchet can be useful for very small trees, but won’t be effective for medium to large trees.

Palm trees are unique in that their roots don't grow straight down; they grow horizontally. Typically, palm tree roots go down between 12 and 36 inches deep. The roots grow far and wide from the base of the palm tree to absorb as much water and soil nutrients as possible. In addition, the horizontal roots are also very strong—keeping palm trees stable and helping them sway during storms.

There are four common ways to prune a tree correctly: crown thinning, crown reduction, crown raising, and crown cleaning. The method you choose depends on the purpose of pruning. However, making the correct cuts is a vital part of the process, regardless of your method. Pruning incorrectly can damage or even kill the tree. So, you may want to hire a professional tree-trimming company to tackle the task.

Ideally, you’ll have a good enough relationship with your neighbors that you can kindly mention this task in regular conversation. However, every neighbor (and neighborhood) is different. Your best bet will always be to ask directly and nicely, offering to contribute to the tree trimming efforts if you’d like. However, if you are bothered by the tree and your neighbor is unwilling to cut it, you can involve the help of the homeowners’ association or local authorities, if applicable.

The typical lifespan of a Bradford pear is relatively short, only 15 to 25 years. However, these trees have issues long before their life is over. Due to their soft wood and fast-growing branches, Bradford pear trees often split around 15 years, making them a risk for falling branches and more prone to disease.
