We inquired about a sunroom with a sales rep at the Elkhart County Fair in July. About a week later we met a sales rep at our house to talk about the details as they relate to quality, workmanship, and cost. The sales rep spent more than four hours discussing every facet of the job. There was absolutely no high pressure sales tactics. Once we decided to purchase the sunroom the next step was the company sending out an appraisal team to measure the area and talk to us about the specific work to be done in September. They were very professional. On 17 September 2014 a two man crew arrived and began work. This team was very good. They finished up the majority of their work on 22 September except for changing out the sliding glass entry door because of the wrong width. Additionally, Champion uses an electrical contractor from South Bend named Dan, who is wonderful. We needed to have electrical run because we opted to buy the (Amana) heating and cooling system for our sunroom and we're happy we did. We want to be able to use our new room 365 days per year. As a side note, you will love the "Champion 365 glass" that this company uses. It will blow you away during the home demonstration! In total, it took about 8 hours total to remove the old screen porch and install the new sunroom. The install crew did a great job and cleaned up after themselves each day and hauled off all the old materials. We would highly recommend Champion and we look forward to years of enjoying our new sunroom.

The Crew Started the job on time and showed up every day rain or shine, (one day they did leave early raining too hard) Can't blame them. Did not delay the job much. Every thing went smoothly, I could tell they this was not the first time they had put up a sun room. Only one small error the carpet that they were putting down was not what we had pick out, No problem they rolled it up and brought out the right carpet about 1 week later. (had to order it) It has been a year now and we LOVE the Sun Room. This is one instance where you get what you pay for. There are less expensive products out there but I highly recommend The Champion sun room.

It was absolutely excellent. Super high quality. You couldn't hire better workers if you tried. They are very helpful in every aspect, and I would have no reservations referring them to anybody.

We are really very pleased with them all the way around. They were very professional, very right up front, and they weren't pushy. They had the whole thing done in less than a week and their price was the best. It's really the best work I've ever seen for something like this.

The whole job, from start to completion took a total of 7 working days, with all three in attendance. We love the final room and hope that it will add years of enjoyment to our family and home. If you want to use a credit card for frequent flier miles, do it on your FIRST installation payment. They wouldn't accept it after that. We paid by check for a total of 3 payments.

  • SIR Home Improvements
    5.0
We met a SIR Home Improvement rep during a visit to Sam's Club. We had discussed adding a sunroom to our home, but did not think we were ready to do so at that time. We were contacted by SIR and met with Russ Crabtree, Vice President of Sales. Russ was straightforward about SIR's sunroom offerings and answered all our questions. He used a heat lamp and various types of glass to show us how much energy can be lost by conventional windows and sunrooms. Then he told us about and showed us how the SIR sunrooms work to conserve energy, thus keeping costs down. We were impressed that the room, while it is not called a 4-season room, could certainly be used most of the year, except on the coldest and hottest days. Russ worked with us on price for our 12' x 14' room. We were impressed to find it could be installed in about 3 days. It is built in a factory, disassembled, and reconstructed at your home. The result is a tailor-made fit to the specific measurements of your building. The process of ordering, financing, and getting the room took six weeks. Installation, from preparation to dry-wall finishing and window washing (YES, they even DID THE WINDOWS) took 4 1/2 days, even considering problems with weather. One SIR person, who came to measure, put a red carpet on our front porch before entering our house and put booties over his shoes while he was inside. That type of consideration and taking a few extra steps to please a customer is very rare these days. The men who did the work were great! They were polite, cleaned up the jobsite (inside and out) every day, answered questions, were on time, and put in a full day's work, weather permitting. As an example, the roof vent that came with the room was white, but our shingles are brown, so the guys even went out and purchased a matching brown roof vent so we would not have to climb up and paint the white one brown. Overall, we actually enjoyed having them here working on our home. The entire experience with SIR, from our first contact at Sam's Club, to the final touches was a great one. Frank Mumford, the company President, was involved with our room during part of the process. He was helpful and, like Russ Crabtree, straightforward about the process. In retrospect, what really strikes me is that we trusted them. That's not something most of us commonly feel in today's world. Everyone was wonderful. I would call them in the future for home improvement and I recommend them, without reservation. They're the best bunch of people I've ever worked with for a home project.

He drew out plans and showed us different kinds of plants and so forth. It cost us a lot of money. He is expensive. Our experience with him has been good. He is a typical landscaper.

  • Quality Home Improvement

I got 3 quotes on the soffits and fascia and Joe was the only one who took the time to see what was really involved. Initially I chose the low bidder but he disappeared after starting the job and seeing what was involved in doing it right. A neighbor who had experience with Quality Home Improvement recommended I hire Joe Rerick and he did a great job, making repairs and replacing rotten wood instead of just covering it up. We then expanded the job to include a new ceiling in the entryway and ceiling repairs in the kitchen. When the new light was installed in the entry, Joe noticed a very slight imperfection in the ceiling and came back on his own time to make it perfect. Joe Rerick is a perfectionist, shows up on time, always cleans up after himself, and kept me informed every step of the way. I've since learned that several neighbors have used him and all have had him back to do more work, as will we. He charges a very reasonable hourly rate and bills for actual time worked as opposed to bids where someone is trying to make a killing. He doesn't mark up materials. I'm certain that in the end I got the best job at the best price by hiring Joe Rerick of Quality Home Improvement.

  • Bullseye Construction
    5.0
Kurt (company owner) and Mike arrived when promised, kept worksite neat, cleaned up and removed all trash and leftover materials. Work was finished when promised and kept to budget (excluding custom order materials). Kurt is very detail oriented and precise which was very much appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend Bullseye Construction to anyone! In fact, they are returning in the spring to do another project for us.

  • Bruce Barwick Builder
    5.0
We presented a detailed concept to Bruce and he came back with a full estimate. We then negotiated to bring the price down slightly and made a few adjustments in the design. He was great to work with and at every step was intent on pleasing us the customer. Before we signed a contract he showed us a similar project he had done and we got to meet those satisfied homeowners as well. His vast experience, knowledge and skill at building was evident throughout construction. At our request he allowed us to participate in the project (staining and installing some of the wood trim, painting ,& installing flooring). He easily incorporated one of our unique window features. He cleaned up during and at the conclusion of the project. We enjoy the room daily and continue to be very pleased with Bruce's work and would recommend him to anyone in the Elkhart/Goshen area.
