The quality of the product used did not hold up to the expectations of what we were promised when we had our initial consultation with the owner. After allowing them multiple attempts on trying to remedy the issues, they were never resolved. We now will be spending even more money out of our pockets to have someone else come and attempt to fix the issues at hand."

Installing a patio is labor- and time-intensive, and getting the end product to look professional demands patience and experience. Not only can mistakes lead to unevenness in your patio and expensive repairs, but not grading the surface properly can cause issues with water management, potentially leading to leaks in your home, foundation damage, and flooding. It’s more expensive to hire a patio company, but it’s usually well worth the investment to avoid costly mistakes.
Regular cleaning, sealing, and crack inspections help prolong the surface’s life and maintain safety.
When comparing pavers versus a concrete patio, paver patios tend to be more costly than their concrete counterparts. However, the total cost depends on the type of materials you use and the size of the patio. If your patio needs repairs, a paver patio will be easier and less costly to fix, even though it’s more expensive upfront. Plus, a paver patio won’t bump up your property taxes, while a concrete patio will.
In most cases, you’ll want your patio to be 4 inches thick, although you should add reinforcement and increase the thickness up to around 8 inches if you want it to support heavier loads and resist cracking more readily. Although thicker slabs will cost more, you’ll start seeing diminishing returns at around 6 inches.
