"Job included minor drywall repair in kitchen soffit and to a lace ceiling, and painting of repairs (and two extra rooms and trim), and our entryway wall and trim as well as the stairway walls and trim (to the top of the stairs). The drywall repairs were seamlessly done, and the painting of the repairs and spraying of lace ceiling very good. We know that lace ceiling repairs are hard to match, but these are nearly flawless match. The painting of the other rooms (dining and parlor), were completed with the same professionalism, quality, and care for my property as the repairs in the kitchen. "It's been a terrible experience. Two-thirds of the way into the project, the owner Chris Troyer, asked for the final payment in advance stating that he was having some financial difficulty. Against my better judgement I made the payment because he seemed trust worthy. He has not shown up since to complete the project which still requires all the siding, trim, gutters and doors to be installed. It is now over six months from the stated completion date on the contract. I filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's Office but the contractor was unresponsive. I have now filed a breach of contract case in civil court. And the quality of the work completed is also questionable. See images: rough floor and a wall blew out during the concrete pour. Also, he filed for administrative dissolution for his LLC in 11/2021. So if you're signing any contract with Chris, it's not worth anything. Summary: stay clear of Midwest Residential and Chris Troyer."
