"Paul is a very nice gentleman who takes pride in his work. His work is very good. He seems to be very knowledgeable and talented. He can repair, refinish, and build furniture. I have seen some outdoor furniture he made out of cedar and it was beautiful! He fixed a rocker for me and waxed it and did 4 more pieces too. All of them were pieces that were antiques. He refinished 3 of the 4. He has the 4th one now. All of the pieces turned out beautiful. I know the other will turn out beautiful too. I definitely recommend Paul."
"**UPDATE: Just yesterday (a day or two after I submitted the review below), we noticed that Barrier had come out and replaced the trim with the correct color. I don't know when they came to do this, as we received no notifications that they were coming/had been there. We're pleased that this finally got done and hope that any possible future projects with Barrier go smoother.
The work on the window replacement was fine, but they put the wrong color trim on the exterior window framing. The install crew didn't bother to let my husband know (who was home at the time of the work) that they were finished, and rather than letting him know so he could check their work and make sure it was done correctly, they just left. We contacted Neil Masten a couple of days later via phone to let him know that the trim color was wrong, and he indicated they'd have to special order the correct color trim. He indicated it would take a few weeks but as soon as it came in, they'd send someone out to fix it. Well it's been a few months, and after one follow up call initiated by myself that was answered (I was told they were still waiting on the trim to be delivered) and another call that was again initiated by me and has now gone unanswered for 2 weeks, we are still waiting for the trim to get fixed. They have our money already because we bought the services through the Angies List Big Deal, so getting paid is not a motivating factor for them to complete the work."
"2nd story deck replacement. Very good attention to detail in every way. This deck is also 100% carpenter bee proof. An under deck rain water drainage system was incorporated to keep the area underneath dry. All persons working on the project were extremely nice. The new structure far exceeded the strength and quality of the original. Very happy with my new deck."
"The job went great. Once we got on their schedule everything went very smoothly and even with all of the rain, the job was done in less than two weeks. the painters and carpenters were very friendly and professional. We went around the house for a few touchups at the end and did a great job. Our house is easily one of the best looking houses on the block now. With it being a permanent paint I am looking forward to never having to paint the house again. It has a 20 year warranty which makes the high one time cost well worth it as the paint lasts. The paint is very vibrant and I hope it holds it's color as well as they suggest over the coming decades. "
