"I called A+ Painting Service and talked to Shannon. He was very
polite and professional, took down my information (address and phone
number), and said he would come out and take a look. I told him I was
leaving shortly and would not be available. He said I didn't need to
be there when he came by. Within two hours Shannon called me
with an estimate and explained what needed to be done in regards
to materials and labor and gave me a firm quote. The
quote was right in the ballpark with other quotes. Shannon called
back the next day and gave me his web site to look at with past projects.
The site was very impressive, you could see that Shannon is a professional
and he know his business, however after much thought I decided go with
anther company who had a few more wright ups on Angies List.

Emergency services offered

"In the process of scheduling in November 2016, provider had a family emergency. Clearly, being flexible was the right thing to do, so it was fine. Provider sent emails out a couple times through January 2017 updating customers on situation and assuring us service would be completed, but not saying when. Then communication stopped. I made two attempts to contact them in February and March, but received no response. Service was finally performed in late April 2017, after provider requested coming on their own schedule, and I agreed. Service was performed well, once it finally happened. But between January and April I was left wondering if I'd dropped money into a hole and would never hear from the provider again. Life happens, obviously, I just wish there had been better communication."

"1st. contact was promising quote came some what quickly. We discussed what did not show up on the quote he never gave an update. At that time we guessed they did not want the job so we chose one of our other contractors."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Because these two systems have different applications, there is no definitive answer to which is better. When working with sturdy materials, sandblasting is cheaper and faster, but more delicate projects require soda blasting. Before choosing either option, consider your specific needs, particularly your ultimate goal (cleaning, removing rust, prepping for painting, etc.), the material, and your budget.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

Sand is a common sublayer for hardscape features like driveways, paver patios, and more. Most projects that involve sand require a 1-inch layer to promote evenness, drainage, and weight distribution. For further drainage, most projects have a 6-inch minimum layer of gravel beneath the sand.

Seal joints, clean debris regularly, and address cracks promptly to maintain appearance and stability.
