I’ve practically done a little bit of everything when it comes to remodels but I specialize in building decks, replacing doors and windows, and bathroom remodels. I have spent the last 3 years mainly working around lake houses in the area but I’m willing to travel for work. I would be more than happy to help in any way shape or form! "House was originally painted in 2006.  Advertising from company says paint lasts a lifetime, but unfortunately it doesn't....Nothing lasts a lifetime and warranty is only good for owners at the time of service.  With our initial telephone call I was told that the person I needed to schedule with was out of the country for 2 weeks and they would have him call me upon his return.  After almost 3 weeks, he didn't call so I had to call the office back.  The process of getting him out to look at the areas that needed to be touched up took several more weeks, each time with me calling the office.  This was also very frustrating since the only person that could help me worked part-time, so it was hit or miss to reach her when I called, and it was hit or miss for her to return my telephone calls.  After several weeks I was finally told the painter would be out on a certain day to do the work.  He and I walked around the house so I could show him the areas.  It was kind of a wasted effort as he missed spots I pointed out.  During the initial painting in 2006, the garage windows (2) were not painted at all.  He took care of those, as well as having to repaint 3 kitchen windows....All the windows that were done were painted shut AGAIN!

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."

"Upon uncovering a leak during a rain, I emailed Maximus Contracting through Angie's List. They were my 3rd email sent but the previous 2 had other things going on and couldn't accommodate the 1-2 day appointment I needed to prevent further leak damage. Eric (Owner) was very responsive and responded to my email quickly. Upon return call, he said he could have someone there that day. Leo arrived and immediately assessed the situation and explained the required repairs to me. Upon his call to Eric and then Eric's call to me to discuss the repair cost, I was very satisfied with the agreed-to price. Eric even had Leo caulk the vent above the garage with no increase in cost. Leo left to get materials and returned in about 20 minutes. The actual repairs took him about 1.5 hours and after cleaning up, he was there for about 3 hours. The weather looked like rain and it did rain that evening and the next day, so I am grateful to Eric for answering my email and acting promptly. I will go back to Maximus General Contracting for any future home repairs.
