"We had Jordan's Paving lay about 500 ft. of 6/10 limestone driveway for us two weeks ago. They did a very professional job and the new driveway looks absolutely fantastic. Owner Jordan Riley stopped in a day or two ago to look over the job to make sure everything was okay and was ready to take care of any issues with the work, but there were none. He wanted to make sure that we were totally satisfied with everything . . a rare display of care for the customer in this day and age. Jordan's Paving met all of our expectations and have our highest recommendation and thanks for a job well done!"

"This crew is very good... Asphalt Sealing: This is all done by hand... Such a group of hard-working guys... This year they are using a rubberizing product in with the asphalt... Driveway sure is very nice... There is no way we could have done this ourselves...Well worth it."

"Omar was very professional, friendly, and great to work with. He listened to what we wanted, and answered all our questions thoroughly. His price was very reasonable compared to the other estimates we received. We trusted that he would do a great job and he did! We had a patio poured, a new driveway and sidewalk that sloped up to the new landing. He had his crew correct 2 small forming issues that I pointed out to him. He backfilled around everything when the job was completed. He worked right alongside his crew and they did an awesome job! We've had a lot of compliments and I would definitely recommend them. A very satisfied customer!!"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

In Fort Wayne, IN, contractors plan asphalt paving projects for future changes using a modular approach with expansion joints and extendable drainage systems. By coordinating with Fort Wayne Utilities to map underground lines and over-engineering the base preparation to meet local zoning requirements, they ensure that property expansions or utility work can proceed without requiring a complete pavement replacement, providing long-term flexibility for your home.

Helpful?

Completing asphalt paving in Fort Wayne quickly enhances curb appeal and boosts property value, especially in neighborhoods with visible wear. In the long term, a professionally paved surface withstands freeze-thaw cycles and shifting clay soil, reducing the risk of major asphalt repairs. Improved drainage protects your home’s foundation, while regular maintenance supports stormwater management and keeps your property safer during icy Indiana winters.

Helpful?

During an asphalt paving project in Fort Wayne, professionals closely examine the local soil composition, particularly the glacial till and clay. They also evaluate existing drainage patterns toward the St. Marys and Maumee Rivers to prevent flooding. Other critical areas include mapping underground utility lines, analyzing the property's grade for proper water runoff, and verifying boundaries to comply with local Fort Wayne zoning codes.

Helpful?

In Fort Wayne, heavy clay soils significantly complicate asphalt paving projects by requiring extensive base preparation and sometimes soil stabilization. Other challenges include working around mature tree root systems, adhering to historic preservation rules in older neighborhoods, and managing steep grades with specialized drainage. Dense underground utility networks and shared driveways also add layers of complexity requiring careful coordination and planning for a successful project.

Helpful?

In Fort Wayne, watch for persistent puddles after rain, hairline cracks that widen with temperature swings, or loose gravel along driveway edges. These issues often signal underlying drainage or base problems. Moss or weed growth, settling, or cracks wider than ¼ inch mean it’s time for prompt asphalt repair. Addressing these early helps prevent extensive damage from freeze-thaw cycles common in Indiana.
