"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"We would highly recommend Waters Custom Exteriors for roofing, siding, and guttering as they are top notch Professionals!!! From the initial phone call to get an estimate on a new roof, Travis was very helpful. After arriving at our house to look at the roof and give us a replacement estimate Travis said we should contact our insurance company and have an adjuster come to the property to see the shingles, siding, and guttering that had been damaged from a previous hail storm. We scheduled with the adjuster and Travis came out on the arranged day and went on the roof with the adjuster and pointed out the damage that he had seen. Waters Custom Exteriors is definitely the company everyone needs when working with an insurance company. They knew exactly what was needed to move the claim forward and from that point forward until completion of the job Waters Custom Exteriors handled everything with the insurance company. The crew that Waters had performing the work on the roof was eager to get started and arrived early on the scheduled day with a dump trailer to haul away the debris from the tear-off and they quickly got underway. All of the materials needed to complete the roof were being delivered mid-morning as the final removal of the old shingles was wrapping up. There were a few underlayment boards that were bad that got replaced before they started putting down the new roof. By later in the evening, the shingles had been all put down and the new roof looked amazing. The new shingles were the architectural type and a welcomed upgrade to the standard three tab shingle that was previously on the house. When finished, the crew walked the property and picked up any debris from the project and rolled a magnet through the yard numerous times to insure all nails on the ground were picked up and when the job was completed, it was almost as if they had never been there. After the roof job, the siding went just as smoothly with a different crew sent out by Waters Custom Exteriors. Just as before, they showed up early on the scheduled day and got straight to work. The tear-off went quickly and any repairs to the underlying structure were completed before beginning the residing. All necessary materials needed to finish the job were delivered the night before and neatly stacked out of the way in the drive. The siding job obviously took longer than the roof, and each day the crew was on-site they were busy and polite, although there was little interaction with them as they were dedicated to staying on task. They were very meticulous and took pride in the work they were performing and it shows in the finished product. Each day the old siding and debris removed from the house was loaded onto a truck and hauled away leaving nothing unsightly in the yard. Once all of the siding was complete and the site cleaned up, there was a period of time before the fascia and guttering could be installed. This was at no fault of Waters. The color we had chosen was out of stock and would not be available for a couple of weeks. Waters gave us the option to pick another color or wait it out. We waited. When the material arrived at the house, it was again neatly stacked out of the way in the drive and Waters Custom Exteriors came out and installed it promptly. The house looks amazing and we couldn’t be happier. Waters saved us a huge amount of money by being there for us and working with the insurance to cover the damage from the hail storm. We would not hesitate to use Waters Custom Exteriors for any future projects at our house and would highly recommend that you use them as well."

"Eric removed two layers of shingles from our 40 year old roof and replaced them with new 3D Duration shingles. The job started with us needing someone to replace some siding on the chimney due to water leaking in behind the siding causing deterioration and paint peeling off of the siding panels. The repair which we were pursuing was relatively small and consequently we contacted several qualified contractors and they were not willing to even come and scope out our job. Someone referred us to Maximus and when I called and talked to Eric, he was willing to take on the project even though it was small. When he showed up to evaluate the situation and give an estimate for the job, he discovered that the cause of our problem was due to the concrete cap around our chimneys that had cracked and separated and allowed water to seep in and deteriorate the trim boards and siding. We agreed to have him replace the siding and trim boards and to replace the chimney chase because his quote was very reasonable. During this same visit, I was asking him about the condition of the shingles on the roof because they had been in place for 20 years. They were showing signs of wear but he said they could last another year or two. I inquired as to the cost of him roofing the house too while he was doing the other jobs for us and that quote seemed very reasonable so I agreed to that job as well. He has just finished the total project in less than a week and everything looks really good. He maintained the schedule that he promised and he was on site nearly every day to make sure things were running smooth. We will definitely call Maximus again when the need arises.

"After receiving a few other estimates on a sunroom addition plus a screened in porch, we decided to go with Legacy Windows. Mark’s estimate was in the middle of the other estimates and he offered much more flexibility than the other companies we spoke to in terms of customization. He is a great salesman with previous marketing experience. We signed our contract on April 10th. We were told that Mark and his crew were finishing a room and would be able to start in 2-3 weeks with a timeframe of 6-8 weeks for completion of our room addition project. The budget and timeframe worked well for us, so we decided to add replacement windows for the rest of our house (11 windows total). Several weeks went by and our project had not yet started so we followed up with Mark. We were told that there were issues with his current project (did not pass inspection) and it would push our start date back due to the workmanship repairs. During this time period before any work began on our project we would communicate often with Mark to check on the status of our project. The really frustrating thing about working with Mark is his inability to fulfill commitments he would make to us in regards to project timing and when things would be done. Our primary communication with him was via text messages and time after time he would tell us, “we should be starting next week” or “we are going to be making up for lost time quickly” and time would pass and it just wouldn’t happen. Work on our project began when our existing windows were replaced in early June. The foundation for the expansion was finally started in late June and framing started in early July (roughly 3 months after signing the contract). The first crew completed the framing, hired the shingles out, installed some of the cedar siding, and installed one wall of windows. We were seeing decent progress after having such a long wait in the beginning, all the while the commitment issue just kept popping up. We would get a text saying something like, “going to be at the house tomorrow with some stone samples” and he wouldn’t show up. It was annoying, but progress was being made and we were happy with how the expansion was taking shape so we were willing to overlook it. Sometime toward the beginning of August (roughly 4 months after signing the contract), work just stopped. Again, when we would reach out to Mark asking about the status of our project we would be told, “I’ll have an action plan later this afternoon” or “we want to get everything we done we can this week” or “the crew will be there tomorrow and we will be working all week on your project trying to finish”. In the meantime, nothing would be done and we would repeat the process. This went on for over 3 weeks, during this time there was absolutely no work done. Large piles of construction trash and building materials sat in our yard during this time. A great deal of the usable wood began to warp and I am sure that ultimately materials had to be tossed from being left in the elements for so long. After a couple weeks I finally moved a significant portion of the usable wood up onto the deck so it would at least be partially protected. We found out that there was an issue with the electrical and Mark had decided to let Crew #1 go as they were not meeting his expectations, but it was not communicated to us until the end of the over 3 week period. A second crew then arrived who Mark said usually only did work for him on the south side of Indy (we live in Lebanon), but he wanted to get our project back on track. There seemed to be little to no communication between the crew and Mark on what they were supposed to work on so we had to explain to them what was in the contract to be completed. Crew #2 also started making good progress, they finished the cedar siding, got the rest of the windows installed in the sunroom as well as installing the sunroom ceiling. About this time, which was at the beginning of September we had a separate crew come out to do the drywall. Mark recommended them very highly. As it turned out, the drywall was not properly installed or insulated (in some walls there was no insulation), and ultimately it had to be taken down and redone by Crew #2. Crew #2 seemed to be doing a really good job and we were quite pleased with their progress and the quality of work they were doing for us. They were replaced by Crew #3 sometime in mid-September. We were never told why they were replaced, but Crew #3 was much closer to where we lived so I assume that had something to do with it. Much like when Crew #2 started, there seemed to be little communication between Crew #3 and Mark on what they were supposed to work on. So we again had to explain what was in the contract to be completed. All through the process, the commitment issues mentioned previously continued. We were not as happy with the quality of the work done by Crew #3 as we had been by Crew #2 (or even Crew #1), but they did finally complete for the project for us and after (3) failed attempts we finally received a pass from the building inspector on his final inspection. When Crew #3 decided they were finished they never came back, we communicated multiple times with Mark about the remaining punch list items to no avail and ultimately decided to finish most of the small punch list items ourselves instead of waiting any longer for them to finish (clean up, sanding / finishing drywall, etc.). We love the way the sunroom and covered porch area turned out. From contract signing until the end it took a little over six months, but in Mark’s defense he did agree to let us add a brand new window in the dining room of our house to tie everything together at no cost to us as appreciation for our patience. There are things that we liked about Mark’s company and things we didn’t, I have tried to summarize each category as follows: Positives • Price seemed reasonable • It is truly a custom build, no problem with changes we had at any point • Love the way it turned out, looks amazing • Mark seemed to genuinely care about the quality of the product he was delivering to us (he replaced the cedar shakes that had been installed by Crew #1 because he wasn’t happy with the quality Negatives • Our project seldom felt like it was a priority, part of the reason it took so long was because they were over committed on other projects • Commitment Issues (addressed previously) • Construction Trash left in our yard for months • We cleaned up inside more than they did, I understand drywall work is messy. They never swept up any of the dust and they didn’t clean up any of the clumps of dried drywall mud all over the floor. • We finished some of the minor punch list items, just to be done."

"At the time of purchase and installation, everything was great. We had to have the guy come back out and clean up the caulk job and trim work on the patio door, and after that all was well.
So, between now and roughly October of 2007, we have had all window sashes replaced due to seal failure and some sashes have been replaced twice. Each repair was done after a six-week wait to have the replacement made, but that's the way it goes in the manufacturing side of things.. After arguing that trip charges were ridiculous for warranty work, as I recall most if not all of these were waived. It was quite a hassle having to arrange for this many replacements, but again, things can happen when humans and machines meet in a factory setting. I get that.
OK, fast forward to this week. The large picture window in my kitchen now has seal failure. I haven't checked the patio door, and if it doesn't have seal failure it can only be a matter of time. The product didn't make it a full eight years, which is not good.
So, I once again contact the local branch and after soliciting a response to my email (nobody responded), I was told that no service work is done after 5PM, and "never on Saturday." That isn't convenient. At all. In addition, the replacement for the failed window won't even be ordered until I cough up a $75 trip charge, and apparently that isn't negotiable any longer. If I'm willing to send a check in that amount they'll order the window. Oh, they won't cash it until the window is installed. What kind of backward logic is that? I'm not making this up, and simply want to invoke the warranty that the office admin so adeptly copies and pastes into her replies to me. No such thing as a manager contacting a customer with an issue, I guess.
So, I suppose I'll be held hostage until I send this check which I guess I'll do. Then I'll wait at least six weeks for the window to be ready, and then I'll get a call to set up repair under warranty at a time convenient to Champion. Not to me, but to Champion. H***, I'm just a customer, right? Once I check the patio door, I'm sure the same sequence will take place and I'm not looking forward to it.
I'll update this review once the repair has been made. I may or may not be satisfied, but I'll be fair. So far, I'm very displeased with the way this is going, and so far I'm the only one who really seems to care. We'll see how it goes.

"Outstanding customer service, excellent communication throughout entire project, professional results. We are very happy with our new siding and our experience with this company. We will definitely call on Allphase Construction again for future projects and be sure to tell everyone we know about them. It's nice this day and age to hire a professional who cares about you and your project as if it was his own home."
