"I wanted to finish a basement on a house which had some cracks that were leaking during a heavy rain. I got bids from the major basement waterproofing companies in town and they all wanted to install a waterproofing system which involved jacking up the floor around the perimeter of the basement slab, installing piping to the sump pump to get any water that might seep into the basement and sealing the cracks. They were all in the $4k-$6k range. I just assumed this was the only option until I spoke with Chris.
When he was there I told him the other bids were out of my budget. He said that instead of installing a complete waterproofing system, he could just seal all the cracks and install panels to have any incidental water run under the slab. He said it would eventually work its way over to the sump pump anyway without installing the entire system. I liked this idea much better.
He sealed and waterproofed all the cracks in one day, patched the concrete and cleaned up nicely. The cracks did not leak anymore even after several heavy rains. He included a lifetime transferrable warranty on all the cracks he waterproofed. He also sealed some other cracks that could not be waterproofed because of the direction they were in at no extra charge although he couldn't include them in the warranty. They also did not leak.
After this experience, I've used Chris several times for basement waterproofing and concrete repair on other houses. He always does a professional job at a reasonable price.

"They were great to work with from beginning to end. They had a rep come out quickly to inspect our house and gave us several options on how we could proceed after our lower level flooded. He discussed what we should consider and helped us pick out the right scope of work for our house and budget. When their team came to do the work, they were professional, handled the job quickly and respectively (which was a huge plus as we had a toddler in the house at the time). "The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Good. CHW connected us with MJ Services for an appointment. MJ Services technician came to the house on the morning of the appointment date, assessed, found and reported the broken equipment. He placed a temporary solution to keep the house warm during Christmas break while we waited for the parts to come in. In the afternoon, CHW sent me a note that the equipment was ordered and provided an estimated delivery date, and arranged a follow up appointment to replace the broken part."

"After a severe rainfall my wife and I discovered water was
forcing its way through the basement slab and in between the slab and cove
joints in our basement. Knowing that we wanted to eventually finish the
basement, I contacted five different contractors to assess which had the best
solution to keep the area dry.
In the end we chose Stay Dry based off the company's
proposed solution, experience, and positive review base on Angie's List. While Stay
Dry's solution was similar to what other contractor's quoted, it was superior
in that they used triple-walled perforated pipe--not corrugated--that was
installed next to the foundation footer as it should be. Don't let a
waterproofing company--in my particular case, Ayer's Basement Systems--convince
you that a drainage tile can be installed on top of the foundation footer and
function properly. Reading guidelines the Department of Energy and Oak Ridge
National Laboratory established for proper foundation water management, and a
little common sense, confirm this.
All of this is to say that Stay Dry proposed and installed a
system that is proven to work, and they did so with excellent workmanship. Jim
and his crew were courteous and professional in their conduct throughout the
installation, and I would heartily recommend them--and Stay Dry--to anyone needing
basement work. They literally went above and beyond the scope of what they were
paid to do. They installed a dry well for us, and then they took extra time to
move the left-over dirt to areas that needed improved grading to keep water away
from the house. Nowhere was this in the contract, but they did it free without
question.
I couldn't be happier with the quality of the finished
product, but there is one small thing that could have been done better from the
sales side. We decided to opt for the battery backup sump pump with the Pump
Spy monitoring service, but the Stay Dry sales rep did not disclose the fact that
the Pump Spy service itself included just a 30 day trial, after which there is
a $4.99 monthly fee. I was not made aware of this until I went to activate the
service online when the system was installed. $4.99 is not bad for being able
to regularly monitor the sump's activity and any issues that could arise, but I
do wish that the Stay Dry rep had informed me ahead of time. Regardless, I
highly recommend that anyone who is having basement water issues give Stay Dry
a call and rest assured that their work is worth the investment.
