"They installed a vinyl fence on my property late last year. The fence came out fine but they dumped the excess stone/concrete used in securing the fence posts into my neighbors yard behind some bushes. Needless to say he wasn't happy about it and neither was I. I called Fence Masters on several occasions, left multiple messages and spoke with a handful of different people, including one foreman (or whatever his title was) who said that he was going to come out and make it right and that they didn't do business like that and so on and so forth. Well, he never showed. I called again afterward and left another message for him. He never returned the message. They also forgot to put their company sign on the fence. Normally I wouldn't care, but the workmanship warranty states that the sign must be present for the warranty to be in effect. I told them about this during my calls as well, but they didn't do anything about it. The bottom line is that the company is completely unprofessional. Installing a fence isn't rocket science, there are plenty of companies out there that will get the job done right. If you want one that is customer service oriented and conducts itself in a professional manor, Fence Masters isn't it. I will never hire them again."

His company, along with our tile guy and our lead plumber were our top three vendors. They did everything that they said they would do, were respectful of the property, cleaned up well and...most important, did extremely high-quality work. We worked with several vendors from Angie's list, ranging from mediocre to outright horrible. James' company was a refreshing change."

Not only does the look increase your curb appeal, but it's also the neighborly thing to do when placing a barrier between two properties, even when you're installing a privacy fence.

Installation typically takes 2-5 days, depending on the fence size and site conditions.

The cost to install a fence averages between $1,800 and $4,500, ranging from as low as $450 to as much as $43,000 for a five-acre yard. Cost factors include the size of the fence, type of fence material, height, site prep, and additional features like gates. Keep in mind that custom fabrication of fences and gates can also increase the cost.

Deer can crawl under a fence if it has a gap of around 6 inches or more. Make sure to close all gaps at the bottom of your fence to keep deer out, and the bottom of the material should be tightly secured, or the deer will push right through it.
