"Jeff Lawson was polite and very thorough when he explained the process he did. He listened to what I said and when I asked him questions he answered them so I could understand the answers without being confused. Would highly recommend him to everyone wanting foundation work."

"I called and spoke with Marc Cooper, Senior Project Specialist. I explained the problem I was having and he agreed to a premise visit to take a look at the issue. We set a time and date, he followed up with a confirmation call the day before the appointment and again the day of the appointment. He later called me on the day of the appointment and told me he could arrive earlier if that worked for me. Although my problem was not something his company handled, he took the time to help me, in the cold rain, with the downspout placement and gave me a recommendation of how to fix the issue. Because he did not have a qualified vendor to recommend, he declined to recommend anyone, which I appreciated. He went above and beyond and even got soaked in the rain trying to help out. Who could ask for anything more?"

"Foundation Repair - our house had to be raised about 3 inches. Frank and his crew were very professional, kept to their schedule. Frank spent extra time with my parents to explain the scope of work and minimize the disruption to their lives. His bid was very thorough and he was upfront with the fact that there could be additional cost based upon what the crew found once they exposed the foundation wall. Would definitely use him again."

"Dave and Jerry worked with us to provide a quick, In person estimate, and ordered the supplies the same day. Although we agreed the work would be done within the next four weeks, it was done in less than two! Dave brought his crew leader, Raheem by for a walk through and introduced us and made sure we were all on the same page for the work to be done. Yesterday they used their diamond grinder to level out the cracks in our garage floor( one side was nearly a half inch higher than the other!), and totally repaired all damage our garage floor accumulated in the last thirty years. Then they applied the base coat and broadcasting for their beautiful Dakota Grey Liquid Terrazzo concrete coating. It dried over night and today the crew completed the job by applying a double encapsulation with a siloxane seal coat product. Itâ s hard to believe itâ s the same floor! The crew completely cleaned up so that youâ d never have known they were even here. Dave was in touch every step of the way. We are very happy with the entire process and recommend Concrete Art without reservation! Thanks, Dave, Raheem and the rest of the crew!"

"Steve and his crew installed LVP, hardwood, LVT, and did epoxy flakes on our garage floor! All of his work was great. They were very responsive to all my questions. Attention to detail is important to them and they strive to do perfect work."

Patios questions, answered by experts

Increases living space and adds value to the home through enhanced utility.

In most parts of the U.S., adding a screened-in porch requires a building permit. Since this type of project often involves structural work and changes to your home’s footprint, homeowners should adhere to local guidelines. That said, permit rules can vary widely depending on where you live and how extensive the project is. Before you start sketching out plans or ordering materials, check in with your city or county’s building department to avoid headaches, fines, and potential structural issues down the line.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it meets certain criteria. For instance, it must be completely enclosed with solid walls and a roof. It should also have a heating and cooling source similar to the rest of the home. Finally, the porch should have direct access to and from the interior of your house.

The cost to screen in a porch depends on whether you are adding screens to an existing structure or building a new one from scratch. Adding screens to an existing porch costs about $5 to $7 per square foot, with a national average cost of around $2,800. For example, screening a 12-by-12-foot (144-square-foot) porch would likely cost between $700 and $1,000. If you are building a new screened-in porch, the cost is substantially higher. A new 12-by-12-foot screened-in porch can cost between $6,400 and $18,300, while a new 14-by-16-foot one averages around $11,000. The final price will vary based on the size of the porch, labor costs, and the materials you choose.

If you have multiple rooms that could use some organization, home storage solutions like cubbies in your mudroom or built-in shelving can help you move clutter off the floor. Take it one step further by pairing shelves and cabinets with personalized aesthetic touches like woven or canvas lined metal baskets to add another organizational element.
