"They had the whole tree taken down within the afternoon. The tree was surrounded by power lines, which no other tree service could handle with the equipment they had. They pulled out the remaining roots that would've damaged our newly paved driveway . We also were very satisfied with their landscaping . Highly recommended! They will be the first to call if we need any work done."

"Gabe and his crew really came through for me! I've been trying for almost a year to get someone to remove a HUGE oak tree from my tiny backyard in the house that I bought. It should have been removed decades ago. It's right up against houses, garages, and power lines, and causes damage almost every time it storms. I got quotes from over 30 companies ranging from $6k to $22k. I never imagined it would cost so much for one tree! I picked one of the more reputable yet not outrageously priced companies back in September. (Raney Tree) after signing the quote, they ignored me for months. I moved on to another company in April who matched Raneys quote. (Squirrel Tree). Again I was ghosted. I knew I had a problem tree that nobody wanted and I couldn't afford to pay any more to have it removed. I reached out to Gabe on the 4th of July and by the end of the month my tree was gone! He probably regretted taking the job by the end, but he and his crew got it done and did a great job. It's such a huge stress relief! My neighbors are also very grateful!! Thank you so much for coming through when others didn't. I will recommend you to everyone I know!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Professionals ensure safety, prevent property damage, and handle debris efficiently.

Licensing requirements for arborists, also known as tree surgeons, vary by state and municipality. Many areas require a license, which often involves specialized education and experience. Even if not mandated, it's wise to hire a licensed professional as they tend to have more experience. Beyond licensing, look for certifications from organizations like the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), as this indicates a higher level of expertise. Certified arborists must typically pass a comprehensive exam. Always confirm that the arborist has a business license and is fully insured to protect yourself from liability. Seeking positive recommendations from local homeowners is also a good step in finding a qualified professional.

The safest way to cut down a tree is to make sure you’re completely prepared and have done all the necessary safety checks, including double-checking your equipment is in good working order, you have plenty of clearance to fell the tree, you’re wearing all the safety gear, and you have a partner to help you (who should also be wearing safety gear).

Salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, and burning can all help dissolve a tree stump. You can also bury the tree stump in soil or mulch to help it rot naturally. Killing a tree stump prevents future regrowth, but you may also remove it by digging it out or grinding it.

If you’re looking to rot a tree stump fast, potassium nitrate will work far quicker than copper nails. First, drill several holes into the stump using a power drill, then pour potassium nitrate pellets into the holes. Next, add water to help the chemical absorb into the wood, thoroughly soaking the stump to ensure the pellets dissolve and spread evenly. Afterward, cover the stump with a tarp to retain moisture and block sunlight, then place mulch on top to secure it in place.
