"The O'Rourke team was a joy to work with. Sean came out, met us, listened to what we wanted in a deck, and came back with a very competitive estimate. He was happy to make some revisions, and we hired him. His team took care of obtaining permits, removing the old deck, preparing the ground (including a weed barrier), and building the new deck. Sean was easy to communicate with and kept us updated as things went along. "Mike Jentel did an outstanding job of repairing and painting our kitchen ceiling that had received water damage from water leaking from the upstairs bathroom. He used plastic sheets to protect the kitchen area and did an excellent clean up job. He drove to the paint shop to get the exact color paint needed. This was fine service for a very reasonable cost."

Typically, most residential wooden decks are designed to support approximately 40 pounds per square foot, including the deck’s weight and any items placed on it. While this is fine for typical use, it is usually not enough to hold the weight of a hot tub filled with water and people. To safely support a hot tub, your wood deck will likely require reinforcement. Therefore, it’s best to have a contractor or a structural engineer assess it before hot tub installation.
