  I needed the lock replaced on the door that leads from the garage to the house. I called them and arranged a time. They came out, replaced it, and I was quite happy. The only wrinkle is that I think it's better to come a bit late than too early. I had other things to do but returned early, and I'm glad I did because he was early, too. Maybe specifying a range is safer. They did a great job, and I will hire them again

  I have used Quick Key many times in the past and you may wonder why I'm giving such a negative review despite using them multiple times. They are hit or miss on their lock repairs, but it only became apparent over time. Sure they would "fix" the lock initially, but should I really have to have it repaired over and over again? This has happened with multiple locks in multiple locations. Big red flag. But what put me over the edge was a quote I received for a video intercom upgrade. Without consulting with me or investigating the current installation they sent me an estimate with all new parts and no explanation about labor. Do I really need all of these parts? Maybe, but Quick Key didn't seem to care, just to bill. When I tried to explain to their manager why this was not a good business practice (at least for customers), I was told that "they did nothing wrong" and this is how they invoice. Add to that their constant reminder that I have the RIGHT to do business with others. How condescending. Of course I can and I will. It's amazing to think that in a time when so many businesses and people are struggling, that a company can take such a cocky tone with any customer - basically, we don't need you. When I left the call, I told them how disappointed I was and that I felt it appropriate to leave reviews that reflect my experience. Their response was to threaten legal action. Needless to say, I have no interest in ever giving them a dollar of my money. I will take their advice and move on. Before you do business with them, maybe you should heed the same advice they gave me

  Excellent work. I have many older locksets on expensive exterior doors. Ken came and was able to fix them one at a time. He unfroze two doors and was able to start repairs on more. Still waiting for parts, but when done it will be a highly skilled job. I don't think there are many locksmiths left who have this level of talent
