"Our house was built in 1885 Victorian brick. We had a stamped concrete to look like brick sidewalk put in came out Fantastic. We also had Tuckpointing done to the limestone and a concrete slab 15 x 5. They are easy to work with, but they also tell You the best way to go about it. We are very happy with the end product. It matches our brick home."

"Had large cracks in garage floor and pitting on my concrete drive. The end result was amazing. Cracks repaired, floor coated with a beautiful multi color finish. Drive was ground and sealed. Could be happier. The crew were fantastic."

"We were impressed by the quick & smooth adjustments S & S made when concrete delivery & rain problems stopped the planned schedule. S & S returned as promised on the next work day. Again they adjusted quickly when the incorrect concrete mixture arrived. They waited for the correct mixture, & began and finished the work as promised. The steps look good & smooth, & we are pleased."

"I was heading up this job for my mom. I live over 5 hrs away, so it was important to me that the job was done when promised as described. It worked out great! Ben and the guys showed up, and worked there butts off to get it all done in a timely manner. They excavated and filled a collapsed hole in the backyard with gravel and concrete. All mom has to do is water the sod that they finished off with. Great job Guys!!"

"He did an excellent job.  He called me when he was going to be a few minutes late and apologized.  He was so honest, too.  He could have nailed me with expensive work, but he did not.  He fixed the problem and gave me the right part to make sure I never had the problem again, which was a lot cheaper than he could have made it."

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.

Some welding projects, such as repairing pipes or fences, require travel, whereas others, like furniture repair, do not necessarily require the welder to come to you. Travel and overhead factor into the overall cost of your welding project. Some of the most common welding projects include:

  • Metal furniture repair: $35–$100

  • Pipe repair: $200–$1,000

  • Small gates: $550–$750

  • Fencing: $1,200–$1,800

  • Fabricated sheet metal welding: $750–$2,500

Sawing your hot tub into more manageable chunks so it can be lifted easily into a truck takes several hours. Generally, 2.5 hours for smaller hot tubs and around 4 hours for larger ones with the help of one to two people. If money isn't a concern and you want to skip the physical labor, you can hire a pro to get the job done.

Yes, you can cut plexiglass by hand using a sharp knife or blade (utility knife, box cutter, glass cutter, etc.).

Cutting round ductwork requires precision and the right tools. A duct cutter, specifically designed for circular ducts, is ideal. First, mark the cutting line on the duct using a measuring tape and pencil. Then, position the duct cutter's blade on the marked line. Apply steady pressure, rotating the cutter around the duct. The sharp blade creates a clean, precise cut. Alternatively, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade can be used for larger round ducts. Ensure the duct is securely held in place while making the cut to prevent slips and maintain accuracy.
