Knowing Al Fleischman that goes by Rooms you Love has been the worst experience of my life. I bought an older house and was going to update it. The only thing I was having him do was tile work. The first job he was supposed to start on was my master bath. Then a smaller bath, kitchen, and sun room. The other two professional contractors said that they would be done with master bath in a week. This included busting concrete up to move toilet, and old drain for the shower. Then it had to be plumbed back. All the dry wall had to be moved, and I went from a single bowl sink to a double. I had to plumb for a wall shower, rain shower and a hand held. I mention this because I hired a professional plumber to move toilet, and shower drain, and run all the new water lines for sinks, and shower area. The two contractors quotes where to have all this done, and the bath room completed in a week or less. They where doing the electrical work that needed to be done, and installing ceiling fans, dry wall, glass for walk in shower, and sliding doors.
So when he started a large part of the other two quotes had already been done. I assumed it would take about 3 or 4 days for Rooms you love which is Al Fleischman to do finish the tile. Which would of been 900.00 to 1200. This assumption was based on the quotes from time other to contractors gave.
He didn't start in Jan. as agreed! He didn't show up for first day until Feb.17. He was good at putting it off and making
you think he was going to start. He kept saying the job he was on was running behind he just needed a little more time. He for sure lied about his start date when he had a schedule knee surgery. So he finally shows up and it was a joke. I thought he was going to work. He made it a production of unloading the tile, and other materials. He would rather much rather flirt with Janis at KY tile, or any other women he sees than work. Note to any husbands leaving wife at home while he is in your house! The 3 to 4 days I expected turned into weeks. Crazy thing is he never asked to be paid. I told him after the first week that I would pay him. He said don't worry about it. The second week the same thing. I thought he was giving me any bills because he wasn't doing any thing, and didn't think I owed him much yet. He did a small dry wall patch in another bath where I took the old vanity out. He put mud on master bath ceiling because I took the texture off and made it smooth. I asked him how much it would cost to do these things and he said not much. I knew a professional dry wall guy. So I let him do these in addition. This went on till March 26 when he finally said he need some money. He hadn't finished the shower area yet. The tile area is 40 inches wide, 8 ft. long. a couple of niches, and two benches. Not much of an area. The bath room floor was getting a heated wire, and tile. This was never even done. The small shower area was not grouted, and the tile was left covered with the mortar in cracks. It took hours to scrap out before the tile setters I hired finished. I had a border band in center of tile. The bottom was flush as it was supposed to be. The top had a mismatch of .180, to .125, .090, .06. the point is it was not set proper. The holes are two big for the faucet to cover, and have to be repaired. The drain is not consistant. He told me the was an electrician and had went to school for it. The electrician I hired said what he did was incorrect.
All this said the night I was going to pay him in cash because the day earlier he told me he wanted me to pay him in cash so he didn't have to claim taxes. I had 1400. in cash to pay him. I told him I would give him 2500. for the shower when he was done. He said that I owed him 6000.00. I told him that was more than Franks and he was supplying the materials. I had paid 4000. for tile, and plumbing at the point he started working. I told him that was insane. He knew how much I was expecting to pay never kept it a secret. He started yelling and cursing in front of my 7 year old son. I told him to leave, and he thought he was going to intimidate me into paying him.
I have much more to add. I will have to finish at another day!

The work is excellent and done in a timely fashion. I think they are very reasonable. They pick up and deliver.

Part of owning such a home is sagging floors. I contacted Griffith based on ads in the local paper for floor leveling. Mr. Griffith came out, inspected the house, told me what he would do and gave me the estimate. Mr. Griffith wasn't always able to be there and his crew was comprised of two guys. The job took much longer than anticipated, a couple of days I wasn't sure if anyone would show up. Some days they cut out early. When Mr. Griffith was able to check up on them there was usually a shouting match going on in my basement and work would need to be redone. One night the crew, including Mr. Griffith, was in my home working until nearly midnight to complete the job. In my basement I have a hodge podge of supports sitting on solid concrete blocks but, for the most part, my floors are level. I plan on finishing the basement with a concrete floor so the blocks will be supported and covered and replace or cover the supports to look more professional. All-in-all Mr. Griffith did exactly what he said he would do and I am pleased that the work has held up. Just wish I had a little more confidence in his crew. Two guys did everything in less than two days. There was a minor communication breakdown that resulted in one area being missed, but I told Larry and he sent his guys out the next morning to complete the job. One of the guys also did some drywall patching to cover a bad spot in the wall left by the previous homeowners. It was pretty rough, but Larry told me his guy could smooth it right out, making it look good as new. It looks better now, but still not good. That part of the wall basically needs to be ripped out and replaced, so I understand the inability to make it perfect, but Larry maybe over-committed a little on how much they were going to be able to improve the looks. Overall, the quoted price was the final price, and the job quality was good, so I and my wife were quite happy with the job and how quickly they were able to get it done. We would definitely use them again. I have lived in a number of cities and had used Sears repair service because these were Sears appliances. When I called Sears, they were only interested in selling me a $250 service agreement, before the service person ever saw the appliance. So I cancelled my Sears service call.
I spoke with a parts supply house thinking that the problem was the timer switch and I would replace that. The person at the parts house diagnosed the problem and said that it was probably the fill valve. I called David and made arrangements to be here on Saturday, my only time off.
Just before he arrived, I tried the washer once again and it worked. He was already on the way, so I decided since I would be paying for a service call anyway, I would have him check and do preventative maintenance on both the washer and dryer.
I was getting some rust around the hinge on the washer and he showed me how to stop the rust and explained that the lid needs to be open until the unit is dry inside to prevent this. He looked at the dryer which was working okay on timed dry, but the automatic cycle was not fully drying clothes. He checked the vent in back, and I had properly installed stiff vent pipe. We went outside and he removed the dryer vent cover and found some build up of lint. I am in an apartment complex, so the staff should be doing this on a regular basis. After this clean out, the auto sensor on the dryer worked just fine."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tn/knoxville/david%27s-appliance-sales-and-repair-reviews-383430.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Henry's Plumbing Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"IL","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"David H."},"reviewBody":"First they came out to the house to see the scope of the job and give an estimate, then made recommendations for type size of unit which was helpful. I decided on an American Standard model which they have just started installing this year for the first time. We agreed on an installation date and a specific unit. The installation of the outdoor hvac unit went smooth. It took two days: one day to remove the old unit and install a new concrete pad and a second day to install the new hvac unit. The thermostat became a big issue though. I had asked for a thermostat provided by the manufacturer of the unit, American Standard, but when the installed the unit they brought a Honeywell thermostat and said they did not have the American standard thermostat in stock. So, it took another week to get the thermostat I had asked for installed. Then I found out the existing thermostat wire was not the correct type (some thermostats require a seven conductor wire but mine was only a five conductor wire), so, I had to run a new wire to the unit from the thermostat to the unit as an additional cost. Then the air filter was located inside the unit and requires removing an access cover with eight sheet metal screws every time I need to change the filter. They told me there was an accessory cover for easy access(with no screws to remove) but it would cost an additional 300.00$ to install...not good news. Once the correct thermostat was installed a week later everything seems to work well. Overall, they were very experienced and cleaned up after their jobs being careful not to leave a mess. I did not like the surprises of additional costs for the thermostat wiring and filter access cover."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ky/owensboro/henry%27s-plumbing-inc-reviews-2177986.htm"},"position":10}]}

"Jeff Christian, Project Manager and key contact, did an outstanding job on quoting the job and follow-up during the entire project. He answered all of my questions and was able to get the manufacturer involved to verify the warranty concerns and did an overall great job! The owners of the company Abraham and Rhonda were great to work and followed up and supported Jeff throughout the project! Makes a big difference when the Company owners stays involved and visit the project. They did such a great job I recommended them to my daughter who had Vazquez Contracting install a new roof on her house. Both installations were completed on time and at the quoted price in the 4th Qtr. of 2017."

FAQs for patio cover service projects in Mount Carmel, IL
While the terms deck and porch are often used interchangeably, they are two distinct home features. Porches offer a roof that protects from the elements when coming and going from the house. Generally, porches are on the front of your home. On the other hand, decks are generally built in the backyard of a home and offer no roof or protection from the elements, like rain or snow. Porches typically require less maintenance and upkeep thanks to the roof, but both features require regular cleaning and repairs to maintain good condition.
The cost of an awning is $1,400 to $4,400 on average. However, this cost could be as low as $100 or as high as $7,500, depending on a few factors. The type of awning you choose, the size you need, and your location all affect your overall cost.
For example, portable awnings you can put up and take down yourself range from $100 to $400, whereas motorized awnings are more luxurious and cost between $2,000 and $3,500.
The cost to build a deck is $8,025 on average. However, this cost can range anywhere from $1,500 to $22,000, depending on multiple factors, such as size, materials, and deck type. You can expect to pay $30 to $60 per square foot when building a new deck.
Cedar decks are often the most cost-effective option, ranging from $4 to $9per square foot for materials. However, pressure-treated decking, which is resistant to rot, is more expensive, ranging from $15 to $25 per square foot for materials.
Awnings are either fixed or retractable and can be paired with a variety of cover materials. Fixed awnings are a permanent outdoor feature of a building. These are highly durable and require ongoing maintenance. Once installed, the position of this awning cannot be changed.
Retractable awnings are more popular than fixed awnings since the cover can open and close. This allows homeowners to open and close the awning, depending on the weather. When not in use, it can be closed to allow for extra space.
Besides the type of awning, you’ll need to choose the type of cover. Your awning installation professional will review your options with you, including availability and costs. The types of covers you can choose from include:
Wood, which is durable but can be damaged easily by rainwater and fire
Cotton offers flexibility, weatherproofing, and easy cleaning
Canvas is highly durable and is a good choice for retractable awnings
Metal is sturdy but is prone to rust
Polyester is easy to clean and is a more breathable option
Polycarbonate is highly resistant to UV rays and is difficult to damage
