"I was told they'd be ready to start around 6:30am-6:45am and they were there on time. I had my whole house re-roofed. They went above and beyond what I was expecting. They worked hard on my roof. I had alot of damage to my roof from over the years and they replaced multiple boards and they got the job done in 1 full day. These are photos of my roof and the damages they'd repaired and had to replace. They even fixed a few small spots on the front of the house that needed repairs."

Roof raking can damage shingles if improperly done. Be sure to use a rake that’s designed specifically for removing snow from a roof, and don’t use excessive pressure. Light, consistent pressure to pull down the bulk of the snow is all that’s needed—if you clear right down to the shingles, you’re probably using too much force and risking roof damage.

Venting a gas water heater out of the roof is preferable in most cases. Heated exhaust gases naturally rise, so a vertical vent pipe is efficient. If you’re trying to vent through a pipe exiting a wall, the angle of the pipe may be more horizontal than vertical, making the venting system less effective. If you go through a wall, you may need to add a fan to ensure a successful expulsion of the gases outdoors.

You should definitely be wary of roofing contractors who offer significantly lower prices than their competitors. Most roofers in the area are all dealing with the same cost of materials, and labor costs are often comparable, too. If they’re significantly cheaper than other companies around, it could be a scam. Read reviews and ask other roofing companies and contractors if they’ve heard of the suspected scamming company.

You can only overlay a roof once. Any additional layers of shingles will add too much weight and may also violate building codes. Once your roof has had an overlay, you’ll need to have a full roof replacement, including a tear-off of all existing roofing materials, when it’s time for a new roof.
