"Our basement wall had settled over five inches.  They piered the front basement wall and brought it back up to level.  The basement wall was beyond repair.   They cut a section of the back basement wall and demolished the entire back wall and poured me a new basement back wall.  Great job guys!!!

However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

A sinking foundation can be lifted, most often by installing piers to re-level and support the weight of the house. Depending on the cause and extent of the sinking, other methods to lift a foundation include underpinning and mudjacking. There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation.
