"This is my second review for The Illuminators since I have been adding lights as needed. The first time I was blown away, the second time they did not disappoint. My estimator was Alex who is very effective at giving suggestions and ideas regarding the best locations to install the lights. I am extremely pleased with the results and the exterior of our house looks so nice! We like to go on walks around the neighborhood and honestly we believe our lighting is the best! We just LOVE the work The Illuminators do. I think it's worth mentioning the installers names who are very efficient, friendly and very pleasant. Thank you Alex, Laddie, Jaden & Scott. I hope to see you again during the third phase of lights."

"Steve was great to work with. He was patient as we made our decisions, and quick when it came time to execute. We left a lot of the design element up to him, and he did a great job. We are thrilled with the work. The lighting is incredible."

"Anthony came out to give us an estimate. He was much more knowledgeable than the other two companies we had out, even talked me out of extra lighting I thought I wanted, saving us money. We had him design and install our front yard landscape lighting and around our pool and patio. It looks amazing at night and we couldn’t be happier."

"We began a project for exterior landscape lighting, but as we got to know Randy, Mike, and Green Light Design Group, we were so impressed with their capabilities, we substantially expanded our project from exterior lighting, into landscape design, adding gorgeous new plantings, install hardscape replacement, and other substantial improvements. This project was beyond successful. Added true value to our home. Top-notch customer-oriented people! A 5-Star rating is not enough!!!"

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Yes! As a matter of fact, there are many sensors that add motion to existing outdoor lights. These motion sensors attach to pre-existing flood lights and other outdoor lights without any fussy and potentially dangerous electrical work. Additionally, some flood lights and related fixtures ship with motion sensors built-in.

Options include pathway lights, spotlights, and smart lighting systems. Choose based on function and aesthetics.

High-quality landscape lights that are hardwired and properly maintained can last for 10 to 25 years or more. You’ll usually get a longer lifespan from soffit lights and wall-mounted lights that aren’t directly exposed to the elements or prone to damage from foot traffic or vehicle traffic. Solar-powered and battery-powered lights often won’t last as long, but you can still expect a lifespan of five to 15 years.

While most general electricians can repair lamps and light fixtures, it is often better to hire a lamp repair specialist. Many electricians prefer larger jobs, such as fixing electrical systems or relocating fixtures, and may not offer lamp repair services due to the small scale of the work. Additionally, some lamps, particularly antique models, require dedicated expertise that a general electrician might not have. A lamp repair specialist will be familiar with various types of fixtures and can provide a more dedicated service. If you have already hired an electrician for a larger project, you can ask them to look at your lamp, but for a standalone repair, a specialist is typically the best option.

DIY is possible for minor issues like bulb replacement. Professional services ensure proper wiring and functionality.
