"Green Valley Construction went above and beyond our expectations!! We had a lot of storm damage and had to file an insurance claim. John came out to evaluate and was helpful and supportive with all of our decisions made! The work crew did an excellent job with our siding and roof and got the job and cleanup done in a timely manner! "I had this company replace my windows, siding, insultation and decking on my porch. They were on time and did an absolutely beautiful job. I got used to opening my front door and finding their crews working. They were here for about a week and I never even had to clean up after them. What a marvel! Wood siding requires an air gap behind it to allow water to drain out, and for air circulation and venting to allow humid air to escape and keep the material from rotting due to moisture. 

You cannot install clapboard siding on a bare, unprepared surface. Clapboard siding requires a clean, sturdy base made from plywood or similar materials, sometimes called backerboard. Then, it needs an underlayment or sheathing, a moisture membrane to help protect the exterior wall.
