"We had a very large tree that needed to be removed in our backyard with very tight excess to it. Deven and the crew did a great job, no, they did an excellent job. From cutting down the tree to removal of all the limbs and grinding out the two stumps it was done very professionally. This company does and follows thru with everything they promise to do. We are so happy with the respectful way they treated us and our property. I would highly recommend this company. They are Great!"

"Juan isn't just a person with a team who can remove large trees with efficiency; he is an arborist who really has vision of what can be done with a property. I recommend him not only for tree removal but for planting and landscape work. And the value that you get for the price is just great."

"Isabelâ s lawn care is top notch . They contacted me the same day I looked for a pro on Angiâ s. My backyard was full of weeds, trees, and it had also had a big tree stumpâ -big undertaking. The job was completely in a timely manner, and the yard looks amazing. I highly recommend them."

"F & G is the most reliable and trustworthy tree cutting company I have ever used. They are professional, courteous and extremely hard working. They meticulously and safely get the job done and clean up the entire area when they are finished. I couldn't be more pleased with their job performance, attitude, work ethic and pricing. G.Johnson"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

You can use a felling ax to chop down a tree by following the same prep and steps as a chainsaw, but be prepared to use some muscle. For trees bigger than 7 inches in diameter, it can take some time and serious strength to cut down a tree using just an ax.

According to scientists at Penn State University, spotted lanternflies do not typically kill the trees and plants they feed on, but they can cause branches and segments to die off. However, they have been found to kill cultivated grapes, which can have devastating consequences for vineyard owners and regions that heavily rely on vineyards to create jobs and generate revenue. They have also killed the Ailanthu altissima, known as the tree of heaven, though this is classified as a noxious and invasive weed tree.

Consumers typically do not need to worry about the cost of tree insurance, as professional tree service companies pay for their own coverage. For a tree service business, an average U.S. policy covering about $1 million in general liability costs roughly $40 a month or $500 a year. More extensive policies, providing between $500,000 to $2 million in coverage, can cost between $3,000 and $6,000 annually, depending on the company's size and scope of work. Tree service professionals should speak with an insurance company to determine the right plan for their business.

You can start your search for a reputable arborist online by looking for professionals who hold the proper licensing and are fully insured. Next, read through some online reviews to see what kind of service the expert brings to the table, and confirm that they don’t have a history of complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Finally, you can ask the professional for a list of references and then call them to ask questions about the service, professionalism, value, and more that the expert brings to the table.

Aside from removing dead or diseased branches, you should prune your trees somewhere between every one and three years. Some people—particularly commercial farmers—prune their apple trees yearly to produce higher yields. This is the best way to promote tree health. That said, the average homeowner can get away with hard-pruning their mature apple tree every other year or every three years.
