Tree Care Enterprises Inc
About us
John Richards established Tree Care Enterprises, Inc. in September 1978. John earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry from Michigan Technological University in 1977. Soon thereafter he started Tree Care Enterprises as a one man operation. A short time later Doug Edwards was hired. John and Doug are two of our seven Certified Arborists. Doug is now the Vice President in charge of operations. John Richards is still President and involved with running Tree Care on a daily basis. In 2007, Tree Care Enterprises, Inc. became a Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) accredited company. This prestigious recognition is awarded to only the finest and most professional companies. We then created a safety position and formed an employee safety committee. In 2008, Kurt Weidner and Doug Edwards attended a Certified Tree Care Safety Program (CTSP) to support the companys commitment to continuing education and safety. This extensive program works with the companys training staff to develop safety and training programs for the current work force. This advanced training system will enable Tree Care Enterprises to employ a work force that has been properly trained in all aspects of the Green Industry. Worker safety, safe work zones and industry standards create the backbone of the current curriculums being developed. Both Kurt and Doug have worked in the Green Industry and have extensive experience in the emergency response field. From the beginning, Tree Care Enterprises, Inc. has operated on the basis that quality work from professional and knowledgeable employees would make us a successful company. We are growing and are now celebrating our 31st year in business!

Transplant (3) spirea to area near utility boxes, this one was a little more confusing. Instead of more (3) spirea bushes, they moved (2) and a different one and left one of the spireas'. When my wife got home, she mentioned that the wrong bush had been moved. I contacted the company the next day and they sent several workers to correct the issue.
The crew arrived early and went right to work. I had a tree in the back of my property that was behind my shed and intertwined with power lines and the such. They went right to work and had the tree down in a few hours. then they trimmed two branches off a tree that was leaning toward the house. The guys worked really hard and they worked as a crew or team. Very professional and polite.
My two problems I have with them is scheduling was a problem since they were busy I had to wait almost a month for them to come and do the work. The other problem is they left the area a mess. I asked for them to leave a few pieces for firewood, and they did but did not pick up the pieces and put them where I wanted them. I would use them again they were excellent, and I will just remind them to pick up the area a little more. They did not leave any branches or stuff like that, just the firewood was left there.
I would definitely use them again in the future. They did a good job, and my 2 complaints are really nothing that would stop me from using them again. But, before they leave, I will check the site to make sure everything is done
"Due to the Emerald Ash Borer coming to town and the amount of tree work that has generated, we regret that we are unable to get to our customers as quickly as we would like. As to your concern about the cleanup, we would welcome your phone call and comments. We try to do whatever we can to rectify any customer concerns."
My landscaping no longer hides my home! I love the colors of the new plants!!
Love their plant guarantee. John came out and checked the plants in the early spring. Due to the harsh winter we had, we lost two of the plants. They were replaced and installed without question.
removed two large lilac bushes in backlot. They chipped all brush and limbs from the trees and bushes - they cleaned up
after and left no mess. These men were true professionals and were very polite - they also kept my wife entertained and she
loved them. I would use this company again and suggest them to anyone.
