We have 11 employees, we do sub-contract irrigation and concrete work that is needed. We bill whrn the job is done and and it is due in 15 days. On larger jobs we do require a 25% deposit.

Many installations will include multiple layers of gravel, with coarser aggregate at the base and finer aggregate that sits on top of that bottom layer. Above the gravel, you’ll often find coarse sand that helps reduce paver shifting over time. Some permeable paver designs include a water collection system set into the gravel layer to route runoff to a safe area for disposal.

Driveway pavers are often worth the cost. Paver types like cobblestone, brick, and concrete are highly durable, and permeable paver options can be tremendously eco-friendly. While you may pay more for a paver driveway, you’ll see great returns from the increased curb appeal and low maintenance compared to other types of driveways.

Costs depend on material type, design complexity, and site preparation requirements.

Concrete is typically the best material for a driveway if you’re looking for longevity, cost-effectiveness, and ease of maintenance. But, it’s not ideal for areas with annual freeze-frost cycles, nor is it the most attractive option—although you can get it stamped or painted. If pavers are uneven but not sunken, lift the affected bricks and check the bedding sand underneath. In many cases, simply smoothing out or adjusting the sand is enough to level them. Add or remove small amounts as needed, then press the pavers back into place and tap them with a mallet until they sit evenly with the surrounding surface.
