"I had an old fireplace that I needed to cancel out. CHUY knew exactly what we needed to do without any unwanted damage to the wall and ceiling. He helped me get the right people to repair the roof and capped everything shut. The tuckpointing around the house was done exceptionally well and professionally. I recommend anyone looking to get the job done right, you can't go wrong with Chuys Tuckpointing and his crew. On time and suoer clean."

"All I can say is "Wow". What I like in home repair and improvement services are those providers that have hustle and have great communications: And Top Notch Glass Repair fits those requirements and more. Top Notch was able to answer my questions before kicking off the work. They were able to do the repair work I needed next-day, when other quotes were for 10-14 days. Their on-site people were extremely knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly and courteous. I have several other less-severe/critical window issues to address and I'll be contracting Top Notch Glass Repair for all of it."

"Excellent…..Excellent……Excellent. We have used Apex on four different jobs in the last five months. After they replaced three bay windows, we tried them on realigning two heavy sliding windows that would not shut properly because the house had sunk over the last 100 years. We had to stuff insulation into the one inch cracks each winter to keep the cold out. Then we fixed two windows with seals broken so that they fogged up. Lastly some wooden framing had rotted out in two windows over the years; they were repaired as good as new. The price quotes were fair; the work was done on schedule; and my wife and I are delighted that our home windows now sparkle."

Glass Block Windows questions, answered by experts

Yes, professionals can install decorative or colored glass block patterns for a unique look.

Glass block installation can be relatively expensive due to the range of material costs and the labor time to assemble this type of specialty window. The process proceeds slowly as the glass does not absorb moisture from mortar and silicone caulk takes longer to harden, leaving spacers to hold up the structure until the caulk or mortar begins to cure. Plus, if your current windows have structural issues or damage, you’ll need to repair them before beginning the project, increasing your bottom line.

DIY is possible for small projects, but professional installation ensures proper sealing, structural integrity, and a precise finish.

Their thickness depends on application, but most glass walls are typically 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. Although it’s not as common, single panes of glass can also be 1 inch thick.

Options include tempered, laminated, and tinted glass for various needs.
